Comfortable and great noise cancelation headphone

I slept in the plane wearing it and no problem. And the cancellation is the best even if it’s turned off you can only hear a muffled-like noise. The battery lasts longer than I thought.

I loved them, but I recently decided to make the switch to the Sony WH-1000XM4... WOW! These headphones are great, I wear them for hours throughout the day listening to lectures, or board review videos (medical student). Never have a problem with constant sweating. The quality is excellent, love that I can have two devices paired at the same time. Overall, would highly recommend these!

Great Headphones

The battery lasts plenty of time on a single charge. The sound quality is great, as is the noise canceling feature. The Sony Headphones app is a must for these. They are not for exercising or sports, since they are not water resistant or very tight. Great for commuting and leisure.

Great headphones

I've had them for almost two years now, and with heavy usage they have great build quality and show almost no wear. Only issue I have ever noticed is an issue pairing them with Samsung TVs, but this may be Samsung's problem.

Great sound and comfort. The noise cancellation is phenomenal. The sony app is also great where you can tweak the EQ and various settings.

The only complaint I have is the volume adjustment is awkwardly positioned, it is too easy to toggle the channel switch for the base unit. The sound quality is good and the headphones are comfortable.

Perfect just perfect

A buddy of mine has the xm5’s and while i can say the headband is slightly lighter in the xm5’s its not so much of a difference that i genuinely care or wish i had gotten the 5’s. And as far as sound quality goes the xm5 has negligiblably better base like if you tweak around the EQ settings with the 4’s to get yiur desired base the sound is almost indistinguishable from the 5’s. If you have 400$ get the XM5’s and if you only got 200$ and the xm4’s are on sale def get the 4s you def wont regret it and i know i sure dont

Great battery life and noise cancelling

They are incredible at noise cancelling and look amazing. I’ve also gone WEEKS without charging- bow this was using maybe only for a couple of house (5-6) but still amazing! The only thing is, the headphones can slide off my head a bit when movinf but i don’t mind too much.

Former Bose, new Sony Fan!

Switched to the Sony headphones and couldn't be happier!! All my issues with Bose are nonexistent with the MX 4s. Longer battery, better sound (imo), better functionality with the controls since you have twice the surface area to work with... and the cheaper price is the icing on the cake!

Good noise canceling, terrible microphone

But because it's Bluetooth, whenever the microphone is active, the audio quality drops significantly. Would not suggest for any use case that needs a microphone

This is a common characteristic of Bluetooth technology: when the microphone is engaged, the headset often switches to a lower-bandwidth profile (like HFP or HSP) to prioritize the simultaneous transmission of both microphone audio and speaker audio, which results in a necessary reduction in overall fidelity.
While this is an inherent limitation of the current Bluetooth standard, we truly appreciate you highlighting it as a major point of consideration for users who rely heavily on the microphone.
