So when a call comes in, your headphones know which device is ringing and connect to the right one automatically. Hi Ryan, we are so glad to hear that you are happy with the noise canceling feature of your new WH-1000XM4! For the crackling noise on the left earcup, depending on the surrounding environment, crackling noise may increase when the Ambient Sound Mode is turned on. In that case, cancel the voice focus with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. If the noise is still significant, turn off the Ambient Sound Mode.
