I have been contemplating buying these for a while and was waiting for a sale to purchase it. I got tired of using my airpods and they would pop out of my ears quite often. I like the feel of the over the ear headphones. I also enjoy the ambient change in different environments. Good investment.

The bass is real nice, and not overbearing, the mids and highs are super clear.

It can cancel people talking right behind you. The quality of sound is amazing and also includes the cable to connect them when you don't have battery. Normally I used them 2 days without charge them. it is important ajust them well in your head and ears to help the noise cancelling

Good, But Falls Short of Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for these and, after using them for over a year and a half, I’ve been disappointed by the noise cancellation. Despite tweaking bass and range settings, outside sounds still leak through in open environments — even with ANC toggled on in the app. I’ve accepted that this may just be their limit. Connectivity has also been hit or miss, with random Bluetooth dropouts that no amount of troubleshooting (on both phone and computer) seems to fix. Battery life is decent but not impressive for the price. Overall, I expected more. My next purchase will likely be the Apple AirPods Max — I’ve met too many people who rave about their truly phenomenal noise cancellation.

To help improve the performance, we recommend the following steps:
Firmware Update to Version 2.4.1: Please install the latest software to enhance performance and functionality. Detailed instructions are available at the following link:

The XM5’s improve in every way that matters when it comes to sound and noise cancellation. The cups are deeper so they fit better. The connection is better than previous models, with seamless switches between devices working flawlessly. The accompanying app is great for nailing your specific sound settings. Oh and they work without having to be powered on via AUX.

Great headphones! Solid noise cancellation

Crying children on planes melt away and allow me to chill with my tunes. The sound quality is great and the battery goes forever. Software links easily to iPhones and you can connect to Bluetooth on airplanes too or use the cord that comes with it.

Music is much more satisfying when using this. But not just that, all media is. Favorite show or movie? Great. Something simple like YouTube or tiktok? Just wonderful. They sit on my head snug and the ear cups are some of the most comfortable I have used yet. Overall sound quality and noise canceling is next level. I’ll be interested to see just how sony is going to try to improve to the 6’s

Best noise cancellation headphones

Sony finally toned down the muddy bass and allowed a good sound signature to come out. Still needed to EQ to make them a bit brighter but fantastic headphones. I use them for 6+ hours at a time with no discomfort. Battery life is crazy good and they charge VERY fast. Connection to two devices works great (iPad and iPhone here). The noise cancellation is the strongest I’ve used on any headphones and it doesn’t create any pressure on my head. Very happy with my purchase.
