Quality headphones

They can run warm, but the quality is worth it. They do shut off if you take the headphones off and lay them down so you need to have a stand to hang them on or be prepared to scramble to put them on your head and engage the "on" button on if someone calls, all at once.

These are leaps and bounds better. Struggled with the decision to go with the newest version or save a few bucks and get the XM4. I don’t know if the XM5 is that much better but they are really great, especially for airplane travel.

Drown out the sound bask in the music/media

Good quality sound

Sound quality is great so it meets my needs. A little pricy so I hope the plastic holds up and does not start breaking like my last pair (a different brand).

Definitely try on multiple sony headphones before you make a decision

Remarkable ANC - cleaner sound profile.

Some people may prefer the sound of the 4th gen more but I believe the 5th gen has a cleaner sound and is more accurate in audio presentation. ANC is amazing much better than the 4th gen (which I also have and is impressive as well).

More natural true to life sounding instruments than the AirPods Max - no comparison in that regard. Cello, violin, piano, harp, brass all sound detailed, nuanced and realistic like you could reach out and touch the instrument. Only grievance I have is that the inner ear cups are a bit shallow so even my small ears touch the inner surface.

The noise cancelling is great as well as the feel of the headphones itself have a premium quality to them. Overall would recommend sony to anyone who is looking to get some premium audio quality! Especially if you are a commuter these are a must!
