Connecting them were effortless. Sound quality is impeccable, I really enjoy the touch setting on the headphones to turn the volume up/down, skip, outside noise. I really enjoy these headphones. They are easy to clean. Above everything, they have an extremely great battery life and charge time. I would but over and over and over again. If you're on the fence, these are the ones!

First Expensive Headphones I've Purchased

I took a chance with ghese and i love yhem! Sound is amazing, the noise cancelation is top notch, and the comfort is unparalleled (I actually have earn these for like 12 hours straight no issue). I highly recommend these a month into owning them.

Excellent headphones, OK value for the price

The sound quality is excellent from the phones; the quality from the microphones is OK. They are light in weight, which is nice. I wonder how well the ear pads will wear. Overall, the workmanship feels and looks good - as usual for Sony. The microphone does not work when using the wired connection, not mentioned in the documentation! Fortunately the excellent Sony support staff quickly explained that this is how it’s designed. Swiping on the phones to change the volume is clumsy and slow. Also annoying: the power button is an awkwardly placed tiny button. The unit shuts off automatically when taken off, which is nice - but requires more effort than it should to restart.

Excellent Comfortable Product

I have used them a decent amount, and everything is great. The comfort is a highlight. I wear glasses and some over the ear headphones feel uncomfortable (like the airpods max) but these feel so good on my head. The noise cancelling is what I would come to expect from first party audio companies nowadays. The sound is great and I haven't noticed any problems. I got these for less because I am an employee and I would likely buy these for full price if I was needing a nice pair of over the ear headphones.

Best headset ever

A worthy uograde

The XM5’s improve in every way that matters when it comes to sound and noise cancellation. The cups are deeper so they fit better. The connection is better than previous models, with seamless switches between devices working flawlessly. The accompanying app is great for nailing your specific sound settings. Oh and they work without having to be powered on via AUX.

That alone was worth it, right? not sure about sound quality over WM4, but the fit was a little better for me, so spent more for WM5. I suggest to try the fit before spending so much money, Other things... Instructions were not easy to follow, and a little hard to find. Then case is terrible, so plan to buy a new case immediately. Zipper doesn't work well, and the design is just weird. A rectangular box with a loop and filleted edges would be better and probably cheaper. Now more waste for the landfill. It's a bummer that after spending $400, you still have to find accessories.

Broke after 7Mo and Sony says it’s normal

I’m a Developer in my mid 40’s with Autism so I wore them all the time. I was meticulous with how I cared for them as I do with all my things but especially my precious headphones. They broke at the joint where the cup meets the headband for no reason. By that I mean I wasn’t stretching them, laying in them, I didn’t drop them, smash them I just picked them up off the desk and the cup dangled. They still work. But here’s the best part. My “warranty” would be considered manufacturer because it’s been less than a year and Sony says they don’t cover “cosmetic defects as a result of normal wear” is that so!? So that’s normal?? Then they told me it’s because I did something which I did not. I have $20 Amazon headphones for 3-4 years give me a break. Then the Sony rep said “they are not designed to last very long we can give you a one time $50 discount on a new pair” What a joke!! You can buy them if you can afford what others have called poor craftsmanship because this plastic is cheap crap! And because of how Sony treated me I have wanted to let everyone everywhere know what you are getting into with this product and company. I was loyal for years now never again will they get a penny of my money. 7 months you guys! 7 months!! But that sound awesome for the time

Not for small heads

It slides off when I bow my head down. And when wearing it for a long time, it kinda hurts the top of my head where it touches the headband, even though it's padded. Other than those, I don't have any complain.

Simple Review, One Big Warning Before Purchase

Some issues I had in beginning were simply resolved once I updated them, and haven't had a connection issues since. But because this a quick review one known issues with these headphones is the there swivel point failing over time if not taking care of. So if purchasing make sure to use the provided case. Because of this known issue its not getting a 5 but a solid 4. Would i recommend? Yes but keeping in mind that handle with care for a long lasting life.
