Pretty good, thoroughly enjoyed

Still worlds great though a bit loose.

I can wear these all day without any issues or my ears getting sore. Comfortable with glasses as well. ANC - I literally can't hear anyone or anything. I can sit down in a busy coffee shop and the xm5 will block out 95% of the background noise and with some low music playing you really can't hear much.

Good, but not amazing.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a pair of Wyze noise cancelling headphones that work fairly well, but just couldn't handle some of the noise during flights, so I upgraded to these for their supposedly "unprecedented noise cancellation". I was disappointed to find that they are only slightly better than the Wyze headphones even though they four times the price. They are comfortable, sound great and offer good noise cancellation, but I would not buy them again when I can get 90% of the performance for 25% of the price.

Great music quality

They arent rated for water/sweating resistance, but i found a quick wipe down if i ever feel too sweaty does the trick. I love the music quality and the app that allows you to customize the EQ and touch controls when using them. I have an iphone so everything points to me getting the airpod max for "seamless" connections between my phone and iPad, but I already have the airpod pros and they are nice but I needed more control with how I wanted to listen to different genres of music with EQ customizations. The airpods pro do tend to slip out my ear canal often so I end up pushing them in to benefit from ANC, even swapped out the rubber ear tips with silicone ones and they still slip out. So I got the Sony wf-1000xm4 to replace the airpods pro, they were a game changer. More comfortable and better ANC due to solid seal into my ear. Plus they never slip out, never need to adjust while at the gym. Decided to stick with Sony for an over the ear headphone and so happy I did. I switch between them when I go to the gym. Going to get the sony wf-1000xm5 when they have any deals. TLDR: Overall I'd recommend the Sony wh-1000xm5 Pros: Great fit, comfortable and light, app with extra customization, EQ, cheaper than Airpod Pro Max. Cons: the light weight makes them feel "cheap" ( even thou they aren't ), not IP water resistant rated and Sonys complicated naming for their headphones.

Superb headphones

I considered the apple AirPods Max, but they were much more expensive and not useful for non apple products. These headphones work with everything that supports bluetooth, including perfectly with all my Apple devices.

While the WH1000XM5 units don’t have an IPX rating, a simple walk in the park shouldn’t be of concern. For more serious workouts, we suggest our headphones specifically designed for that task. My main gripe is that the comfort of the earcups and headband is dinky. It kinda lives up the premium price tag, but shouldn't be 300+

This material fits snugly around the head with less pressure on the ears while keeping out external sounds. Good Choice

Solid connection when connected to my Samsung Note20. Impressive sound and the features to adjust volume and change song via the right headphone are convenient. They do perform well in regards to sound and clarity and battery life is decent as well. I would say between 4 and 5 stars, nothing really bad about them but also nothing really sets them apart for the rest around the same range.

Amazing headphones for just about everything
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Far better than I was expecting. As someone who is new to “premium headphones”, these blew me away. I’ve been used to AirPods and gaming headsets and I cannot even express how much better the MX5’s are than anything I’ve used. The noise canceling was the most surprising, I expected it to dampen most things around me but it simply cuts out all sound. Road-trips, air travel, gym sounds, and construction zones’ sound pollution are completely removed from my life when I turn on the noise canceling. The mobile app is relatively confusion free and simple to set up. The custom EQ settings were great for finding my favorite audio experience for music. If you’re looking to use these as gaming headphones, I’d look elsewhere. While the sound is amazing, the latency is a bit too much for any sort of competitive games. However, I’ll use these for single player games to enjoy the atmosphere even more. Before I got these I read quite a few reviews about them not being good for gym usage, but I disagree. They cut out all sound and I can’t hear the gym’s music, treadmills running, or weights slamming (unless they’re my own). In terms of sweat damage, they dry off quickly and as long as you take care of them and clean them, it’ll just be fine. I sweat quite a bit and have noticed zero problems with anything during or after workout.

Amazing headphones, great alternantive to the XM6

Only part I dont like is the power button, its too stiff and feels cheap.

Beautiful Sound! Average Connectivity.

I’m able to wear them for an extended period of time without much discomfort on my head. My only issue is sometimes they will lose connection for no reason and I have to reconnect on my iPhone which can be annoying.
