The only drawback was the headphones, as they caused perspiration in the ears after prolonged use.

Great for autism

Noise cancelling is very good, cancels all background noise. You can still hear a nearby conversation but it's muffled. Ambient noise feature is nice and it's adjustable.

Very comfortable to wear on long flights. Nice feature that when you take off head phones the movie or music you listen to will stop the replay when you put the back on.

It is little bit expensive but the comfort and the noise cancellation that it provides is the best I could say till the market right now. One of the major con is the they are not foldable.

Great in every aspect EXCEPT BASS.

I’ve used a lot of Beat headphones and wanted know what I was missing out with Noice Cancelling Over the Ear headphones. It’s everything I expected. Audio is extremely crisp without interruption from your surroundings. You have more control inside the app with Ambient surroundings which allow you to hear the space you’re surrounded in with music playing. You can also set the headphones to react to your voice, the moment you talk it’ll mute the song. That can get very annoying if you like singing to songs so I turned that feature off. It’s worth the investment to buy one of these. Only thing I thought would be better would be the Bass. There isn’t ANY AT ALL. For $400 you would think it would give you some nice bass, but it does make it up elsewhere.

Best headphones on the market

They are arguably the best headphones on the market. The bass can’t be matched and they’re really comfortable. Haven’t had a single problem when wearing for long periods of time.

It could just be a me problem but I find myself not wearing them as often as I’d like because they’re too big for my head

While the WH1000XM5 units don’t have an IPX rating, these can be worn in the gym. For more serious workouts, we suggest our headphones specifically designed for that task. Check out our WF-C500s and the WF-1000XM4s.

I really enjoy the touch sensor control on the headphones and especially the quick attention. It feels light so I can wear for a long period of time. I like the color and minimal design.

Best pair of ANC headphones for $400

Got these over the black pair because of fingerprints and I do not regret it, they look brand new after a couple months of use. ANC and comfort are the strengths of this headset. The headband is narrow but it doesn’t bother me but your mileage may vary.

However, we are genuinely sorry to learn that you are experiencing discomfort and pain after wearing them for only 20 minutes. This is certainly not the all-day comfort we designed the XM5s to provide. Headphones that cause pain defeat the purpose of great audio and ANC, and we want to help.
Discomfort can sometimes be related to fit or pressure. We recommend trying different ways to adjust the headband to ensure the earcups are sitting properly and the clamping force is evenly distributed.
