Quality headphones

They can run warm, but the quality is worth it. They do shut off if you take the headphones off and lay them down so you need to have a stand to hang them on or be prepared to scramble to put them on your head and engage the "on" button on if someone calls, all at once.

At the end of the day the pair of the Sony's are stunning brilliant and amazing. Period end of story. Mic drop!!!

Drown out the sound bask in the music/media

These are leaps and bounds better. Struggled with the decision to go with the newest version or save a few bucks and get the XM4. I don’t know if the XM5 is that much better but they are really great, especially for airplane travel.

Good quality sound

Sound quality is great so it meets my needs. A little pricy so I hope the plastic holds up and does not start breaking like my last pair (a different brand).

Good headphones, xm4s are probably better for casu

Definitely try on multiple sony headphones before you make a decision

Remarkable ANC - cleaner sound profile.

Some people may prefer the sound of the 4th gen more but I believe the 5th gen has a cleaner sound and is more accurate in audio presentation. ANC is amazing much better than the 4th gen (which I also have and is impressive as well).

Disappointing

The audio is OK and the nose cancelling is good, except the software that gets installed with them on my phone causes the nose cancelling to turn on and off seemingly randomly. It's distracting and runs the audio quality and experience. If I don't move my head, they sound great. After wearing them for about 20 minutes they start to hurt my ears... not great. They come with a nice case, thats cool. The ear cuffs are touch control sensitive which sounds like a cool feature, but adjusting their position on your head will cause your audio playback to do weird things... not cool. Meh
