Good, but a step back from XM4s

I could wear the XM4s for hours but these get uncomfortable within an hour. This could be different for you. Also, the cushion is this and even eating which moves your jaw, “breaks the seal” of the cups and you can clearly hear outside noise. Overall good headphones but you can save money and get better with XM4s

Not bad. Not worth the upgrade.

I say temporarily because I sold them and went back to my XM3's after about 3 months of use. The XM5's were far less comfortable than the XM3's and really didn't offer much if any discernable improvement in sound quality. Other than the design, the other upgrades were not substantial enough to make them worth another $380 (depending on when you buy them). If my XM3's go out, I will most likely go with the XM4's until Sony releases the next iteration.
