Stunning audio quality and great ease of use!

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After doing research for weeks on an ideal pair of headphones to use for music, I was drawn to the Sony XM5's for their ease of use, fantastic audio quality and comfortable design. Months later, I'm still extremely satisfied with my purchase and feel like I could not have done better if I had gone for the Airpods Max (even though I have an iPhone to sync them to). Syncing with my phone was still super simple and the app that Sony uses for their XM5's is very easy to use and has tons of different options for adjusting your audio experience. Highly recommend and I feel like theres no better pair in this price range, whether you're a casual listener or an audiophile.

I find the headband orientation to the speakers a little awkward on the head when the speakers are ideally situated on the ears. Not a big deal, but I do notice every time I wear them.

Great noise cancellation, great battery

Noice cancellation is really good. I’ve only had to charge them about twice since getting them and they are very comfortable

I fell in love with my apple airpods for their noise cancelling, especially when flying, they were a lifesaver but on long flights they would run out of battery. After a little research I settled on these and am very happy. Excellent sound which is rich and detailed in subtle ways, too many headphones try to overcome poor sound quality with excessive bass. Good battery life and superior noise cancelling, I have not tried the mic feature yet.

A solid 8/10 performance

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.•• Unboxing experience was a little underwhelming - cheap feeling - but huzzah for using recycled materials which is more important •• Carrying case and pocket for cables are well done and appreciated •• Headphones unfortunately turn the wrong dorection when you take them off your head and rest them on your shoulders, which is more a bummer than an actual problem •• these headphones are light and (to me) more comfortable than the WHRF400, which I replaced with this M5 •• Home use: fantastic, no complaints •• Use on the airplane: for some reason the noise cancelling cuts in and out, you can hear ambient noise in the cabin when watching movies or listening to music, not great •• the most important part, SOUND QUALITY: 8/10 for me. Solid highs, solid mids, solid bass. The issue for me is that it’s just not “great”. Overall, I’d recommend buying if on sale. Happy listening, friends.

Amazing noise cancelation!

I bought these after having a hard time switching from one device to another when receiving a call with my last pair of headphones. These did the trick and have outstanding sound! Perfect for my needs

Love the Ambient Sound Control and location detection with the app, I can noice cancel at home but still hear my coworkers at the office if I want. Also, the battery lasts FOREVER! I can easily go an entire week of using them and not have to charge them until the weekend.

Great for flying

We’re perfect for blocking out extra sound during long flights. Overall ease of connectivity could be better. The touch pad on R ear piece is overly sensitive and reacts to the smallest of bumps or taps on any part of it.
