Impressive cans

Have some issues with the dual device syncing back and froth from my iphone and macbookair but you can lock a specific device in the app just a confusing feature. The ANC works really well and the ambient setting is good too. Was a little turned off by the high price but considering I wear headphones about 8 hours a day they have been worth it. Earcups not quite as comfortable as my old bose quiet comfort 2's but I may try replacing them with a different material in the future. The black ones do smudge easily but that's only a minor complaint.

The sound is great and good battery life. I upgrade to these headphones from having the Skullcandy ones.

Best Gift Ever

He was holding back from buying them so I went ahead and bought them instead for his birthday before he could do so himself. He had an old pair of raggedy & dirty Bluetooth headphones that had to have a cable connected so they could still work. Let’s just say the quality, the design and just the overall whole concept of these headphones was everything he wanted. I’m so happy with this purchase. Looking forward to buying myself a pair now too.

XM5 best all around

Comfort 9.5 - very light while maintaining a solid feel Mic 9.5 handles my calls beautifully. I use them mainly for work ANC 9. Not sure what i was expecting they certainly don’t block everything. Sound 9.7 superb sound for music. Functionality 9.7. Love the tap features you have access to change for example holding your left ear cup to cancel/stop ANC. App 10. SO MANY OPTIONS. Love the EQ custom settings. Utilization 10. Having the versatility to used of them on my iPad Pro and work dell laptop on the fly is amazing. Battery. 9 while I wish I never had the need for downtime for recharge, battery life is a none issue

Superb quality headphones

The app they came with is very customizable to your own personal preferences. The one drawback to bluetooth headphones in general in my opinion is they are a little too quiet for my taste, referring to spotify listening. They have excellent sound quality though and it’s very nice not having a cable tying you to a device while wearing them.

Super sound & noise cancellation w/ few tidbits

I was in the market looking for quality headphones with noise cancelling and sound. I tried Beats Studio Pro and was good with decent features and a plus was being able to use usb c as a source for Atmos sound quality and charging, but I also wasn’t too satisfy with sound quality and I wanted to try something new other than pay a lot for another AirPod Max or wait it out until the newer model comes out. I got these Sony headphones after reading a lot of reviews and I will say it has excellent sound, build and noise cancellation. Set up wasn’t as intuitive or my pride ignored reading the instructions first and I began tinkering with the headphones by trying to pair it and hoped it would work immediately but ran into some minor connection issues. It’s also necessary to download the app for your phone prior to pairing and for accessing the equalizer. Also having to unpair and pair to a device requires you to read to understand how to listen to high quality audio with and without noise cancellation on or that listening to music is still possible through the aux cable and your device if there’s a port when there’s no charge left. But after the minor inconvenience and the learning curve with using and pairing a non Apple device, sound and noice cancellation is superb. Can’t use USB c for both high quality audio and charging, unless it’s because of the device it’s connected to which was a MacBook Pro M2 Max but I’ve had the aux cable and usb c plugged in at the same time but a loud hissing sound or noise is heard while you use it to watch or listen to music. It’s probably best not to charge and use aux cable and have noice cancellation on or defeats the purpose of trying to block noise out but hearing noise directly out of the headphones. Also could be a firmware update that it needs but I haven’t gone that far yet but if you’re using Bluetooth or just aux cable with noise cancellation on, hissing sound isn’t there and sound quality and noise cancellation works great.

Overall good. But loses connection often.

Great active noise cancellation. Very comfortable. But all that is thwarted by the issue I and many other users have with the connectivity. It will often drop the connection to my phone, PC, Mac, tablet, or whatever other device I have it paired to. I’ve tried resetting it and unpairing it from every device I own so that the only device the headphones can pair to is the one I’m currently using. Still disconnects. Many great features but I can’t use any of them. I’m returning these.

Pros: Great Sound Quality Automatically shuts off and pauses music Comfortable Noise Cancelling is Amazing Bluetooth range is great. Cons: Battery life is great but I would say the Sony XM3 lasted slightly longer I'm unsure why but the material on the earphone padding feels cheap like it's going to rip or wear out quickly. I'd like the ability to have it clamp down on ears a bit better as they seem to get more loose over time

A New boost on the Xm'S.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to replace my xm4's since these came out and wanted to see if it was worth it and MAN, ITS EVEN BETTER. The noise cancelation has gotten much better and the sound and bass has improved a little better than the last ones, i already used them for the gym and it does leave out the noises of plates and treadmill running, but would recommend taking them cool of when you have used it for about an hour. The EQ that i used has made the sound even crisped and bass more boom. The cusions on the pad are LIKE A FREAKING PILLOW, and the ambient sound has improved SO MUCH like if i wasnt even wearing it when im talking. But overall the best headphones i have ever had. Greatly appreciate the recommendation from my boi Mohid.

Best quality headphones and versatile

Ive had bose, garmin, blue parrot over ear and all the top earbud brands reguardless of price attenpting to find the pair with long battery life, quick charging, good sound, and acceptable talk on the phone. So far after a few months i can confirm these sony over ear are finally the ones. It took me years to find the perfect pair. I wear these 10+ hrs a day every single day while operating a plumbing service buisness, so they are durable also

A Video Editors Dream!

My ideal headset serves me well for mobile video editing in an office setting, coffee shop or at home. They have been nothing but wonderful so far. I do have a slight issue with connectivity cut out on my 16 in MacBook Pro but I'm sure a firmware update will fix that soon.

Perfect Headphones with possible flaw in some unit

Voice quality is very clear and excellent for remote work or chatting while walking (much better than any headphones I've tried before). ANC and sound quality are great. Deducted one star because mine shipped with an odd defect where the headphones would pick up radio stations in certain areas when on, but only in the right ear cup. This has also been reported by others. The process was lengthy (a couple weeks after troubleshooting) but Sony eventually replaced them. Just a heads up if you hear random country music when nothing is on, you're not crazy!

Not worth the upgrade if you already have the XM3.

I won both the 700 n 900 series plus two version of THE 1000(XM3/XM5). For you bass head, the into 710is a good start and for anyone wanting to get more serious the 910. The XM3 was one of the best headphones out there in the market doe the longest time and there is a reason why. With thousands of satisfied reviews...its a no brainer. I was about to get the XM4 but decided to skip it. The XM5 is a good improvement but honestly, I keep going back to my 910 bass headphones. The reason is...its not as loud as I had hope not did it have enough clarity in its bass that made me go ooohh and ahhh. The noise cancelation is pretty amazing but the updated XM3 is quite the contender. If you have the XM4...just wait for the update because when the XM3 got its update, it improved over the XM4. My friend has it and when we compared...it sucks to buy a new model to only have an old model get better through update* which I'm surprised Sony is even good at.

Turn up the volume of the headset and the connected device.
Connect the Bluetooth device to the headset once again.
Reset the headset.
Initialize the headset, and pair the headset and the device again.
Note: Depending on the connected device, the volume of the device and the headset may or may not be synced. If the volume on a device is not synced to the volume on the headset, it will not be possible to use the device to turn up the volume on the headset once the volume is turned down on the headset.
In that case, turn up the volume of both the headset and the connected device.
