Your feedback on the audio disappearing when the mic activates; whether for a call or using a voice assistant like Siri, is important and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
Here are a couple of things you can try to resolve the audio drop-out:
1) The first step is always to make sure your headphones have the latest firmware. Connect your WH-1000XM5 to the Sony | Sound Connect app on your phone. If an update is available, install it.

They are really comfortable fit and very soft material. They are also different how you adjust the size, by sliding them up on each side. The sound quality is clear and immersive. Best headphones that I have worn. Noise cancelling is excellent.

But very comfortable and the added advanced touch features and immersive /360° audio definitely bridges any doubts about these headphones. Ear cups can get hot if doing activity. So if thats the case, i wouldnt recommend

Great noise cancellation

They’re sturdy and flexible around the ears but be carful when you handle them. Daughter picked them up after having them for 6 months the part detached to the ear pads cracked. The headphones still work though. Consider getting the warranty or be extra careful!

The noise cancellation is amazing and I love the fact your music stops when you move them off your ears. For the price, it’s so worth it. You can also change how much bass/treble you get and can do custom noises. I would definitely recommend! They are so beautiful :)

Noise cancelling indeed

I can activate and deactivate the noise cancelling so I never have to take them off. Worth the money. Wish they could have ear pieces that I could wear while working out, it’s the only thing missing

Super Great Headphones

Comes with a charger, and aux type cord, and a carrying case. Has great noise cancelling and ambient mode. Bluetooth connects super fast and the mic works really good. Battery life lasts forever and charges really quickly.

This version is way more comfortable and sounds even better, as well as the anc. Love them. I personally don't care that they don't fold like previous XMs

Decent Headphones for price

The microphone for calls is really clear. But only after a week of using them, I came into contact with some issues where it would randomly disconnect from my phone for no reason, and I don't know why it does that. I really hope it doesn't do that with you guys. Besides that, def recommend

We're also really sorry to hear that you're already running into an issue with the headphones randomly disconnecting from your phone. -Set Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection” in the Sony | Sound Connect app.
-Update the firmware of your headphones to the latest version, using the app.

-If possible, try connecting your headphones to a different phone or computer. If the issue does not occur with other devices, the problem may be specific to your original phone or its Bluetooth settings.

Pay for the GS warranty, you will need it. Sony needs to hire me to real world test these. Im on my 6th pair in 2.5 years. Oh, the 5s sound much better than the new 6s, just fyi. Buy the cheaper pair

Poor hinge design causes it to snap off

I wore them very often, but I was always really gentle with them. I purchased them about a year and a 3 months ago. One day the hinge just snapped off. I wasn't doing anything strenuous. It just broke randomly because of the poor hinge design. The warranty is only one year (for the price it should be longer!), so I can't get a replacement, but it's not even covered by the warranty because they don't include physical damage. As much as I love these headphones for their comfort and sound quality, they are not the investment I thought they would be. Plenty of other better quality headphones that will last longer for this price.

Superior To Everything Else I've Ever Used
