||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my doubts about these headphones, I Couldn't try them because they were not on display in the store, and still, they are not, because I often go to your store just because I like so much electronics in general. So I decided to exchange my brand new xm4 in order to try the XM5, I had read on Sony that these were the latest from Sony even though the XM4 had not been all that long on the market, and Sony was saying that the XM5 are the top of the line. So when I tried them they were effectively better than my XM4 and I kept them. About 15 days after having my XM5 I noticed that randomly they turned off while I was using them, It happened 3 times so I went back to the store and have them exchange for another XM5, and so far so good. The quality of sound is really crispy on the XM5 even better than on the XM4 which is hard to believe until you tried them.

In the default setting, the headphones use built-in sensors to detect when you wear or remove them and automatically turn the headphones on or off as needed. If you have trouble with the headphones turning off unintentionally, check the following:
When you wear the headphones over a cap, a scarf, or hair, etc., the sensors may not be able to detect that you are wearing them and may turn them off. To avoid this, be sure to set the earpads directly over the ears.
If the wearing detection still bothers you, disable the Automatic Power Off setting. You can do this using the Sony | Headphones Connect app: System → Automatic Power Off, and select Do not turn off.
If the issue is not still resolved, reset the headphones. If the issue still persists, then initialize the headphones. Note: Resetting the headphones will not delete the paring information, while initialization returns the headphones to the factory settings and all Bluetooth pairing information is deleted.

Sony Noise Cancelling

The noise-cancelling worked great and I really like the simple functions on the right ear. Wore these for several hours and did not experience any discomfort. Battery life is great. Lasted the duration of our trip; 10 days, 4 flights with no charge needed. Would recommend.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked the headset, but had a few issues that caused me to ultimately return them. 1) Not having detailed control of the ANC would sometimes cause an issue where I could feel it rapidly switching between levels. 2)) There is no way to mute a phone call that I could find on the headset. This has been a complaint on every version of this headset and seems like it will never be addressed. 3) For some reason, the microphone array would think that my voice was background noise occasionally and would attempt to remove parts of it from the conversation. If you don't experience these issues, or feel that they aren't deal breakers, the headset is great. The Google Assistant integration was nice, allowing me to do so many things on my phone with the headset. The noise canceling, when working correctly, was amazingly good for both listening to audio and removing background noise when making calls. I really do wish they had worked out and hope that maybe the next version will add the improvements needed to make it perfect for me.

The sound quality is superb and better then anything I've used in the past in comparison. The only issues I've had is with connectivity and sound quality dipping noticeably with weird artificial noise that isn't present all the time.

My Son Loves Them!

He had originally purchased these to use with his computer when he was making music, but there was a lag since it is wireless. Other than that, they are awesome!

THIS PRODUCT HAS CHANGED HER WHOLE WORK DAY, in the best way possible! If she has these on and I come home from work, she has no clue I am home. I can bang doors/drawers and she isn't bothered. I tried these on and it basically shut out the world. WOULD RECOMMEND HIGHLY!!!!!

They are fairly lightweight, which is nice. But the build quality could be a little bit better for the price. The plastic feels rather cheap and I sometimes worry about them breaking. Not nearly as solid as the AirPods Max. But overall they are a good value.

Best for guys with a larger head, sound is okay

However, there not great. At the price I expected better sounding. But they fit my head which is the most important issue for me. I tried the top 4 in this class of headphones. It cancels out the noise well. But the music does not sound that great.

Dog groomers best friend

Even though it says not to sweat in them its really dependent on how much you sweat. I worked at a dog salon and wore these everyday. Noise cancelation is out of this world. If you work as a groomer, these are really good to have. They withstand extremely high pitched noises in the background as well.

Only drawback is if you’re an IPhone User the connectivity isn’t as flawless as with other Apple devices, but that’s just Apple taking advantage of the lax US consumer protection laws
