The noise cancellation was better quality during long flights. I was able to speak with mic and not sound muffled to others

ANC strength option needs to be added in update

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After 3+ weeks with the XM5's, it would seem like the Noise Cancelling has a *"high"* and a *normal* mode based on the Noise cancelling auto optimizer **(not talking about adaptive sound control)**. The *normal* mode is what it sounds like most of the time. The *"high"* mode only seems to come on when the outside volume passes over a certain threshold. Try this. Get the xm5s and put them on and take note of what you can hear in the normal mode. Then, play some loud sound or put your head right up against running water or something loud and continuous. You'll notice the sound profile changes and the outside noise is reduced even further. You might even feel pressure on your ears/ that plugged up feeling. I really don't like not having full control over the ANC. I'd wish that the software team could give us more settings to control how strong we want the ANC to be at any given moment in addition to what we already have.

A Worthy Upgrade.

The touch controls are amazing and you put your hand on top of the right ear cup and it lowers the volume and noise cancelling so you can talk without removing them. Audio is incredible and the App you will actually will use. so many pre-sets and customization.

Bass, mids and highs well balanced running flat using EQ. You have to purchase 360 sound which is a drawback. Best headset I own at the moment.

Nice headphones

The sound is great and I like the way you can turn it off and on. They are very pricey so hoping they last a long time as my Beats did not.

Great sound, good fit

If you can snag them on sale Id definitely recommend them. Only complain is they do get a bit warm around the ears if wearing for long periods of time.
