    It dose not stay strong on your ears, when i am working at gym it falls all the time from ears, now I don't know should I hold the headphones with my hand or do bench press.

      The WH1000XM5 is designed for music playback and calls. As far as working out, if you enjoy wearing over the head headphones while working out, then the WH-1000XM5 should be a great workout partner. They are comfortable because of their lightweight design and easy to control your music using the touch controls. You can also try adjusting the length of the headband sliders to get the best fit and to keep them from falling.

    Don’t waste your money

    After paying $350 for headphones I expected more than 13.5 months of use. Disappointed that only one side works now. Frustrated that manufacturers warranty lasts only 12 months. Make a quality product that you will stand by for a reasonable amount of use given the purchase price!

    Horrible design! Do some basic google search before buying this headphones. Hinges that connect the headphones to the overhead band break easily. I will report back if BBY does right by me!

    Considered the best for a reason...

    I have had mixed luck with Sony products over the years, but the conventional wisdom that these are the best ANC headphones you can buy seems to be correct, they're pretty amazing. I tried a few other brands and these are better in every way. They weigh almost nothing, they're comfortable for hours at a time, the sound quality and ANC are both excellent.

    Good But Hurts

    Performance seems the same as the XM4 but this one the padding at the top is different and this one hurts the top of my head after a while every now and then.

    Don't last

    Product stopped working after 1.5 yrs. The Bluetooth won't stay connected longer than 1 minutes. They won't support after a year. At this price I expect headphone to last longer than 18 months

    Disconnects by it self

    Headphones are great.carrying case is falling apart after 5 weeks and best buy passed me on to sony and sony says it is an accessory and it is not covered under warranty but they will sell me one.

    I returned them the day after I bought them. Didn’t hold a charge and all the controls were difficult. The M4 controls weren’t broken. Why did Sony change them. Too bad. I liked Sony. Shame on you for screwing up a good thing.

    Was amazing until one of the hinges started getting wiggly/loose. Just a simple search on google can show that the XM5 has a reoccurring problem with these hinges.

      There are different reasons why your ears may hurt when putting on or wearing headphones such as:

      Under certain environmental conditions, especially when the air is very dry, it is not uncommon to experience a slight static electricity discharge or mild shock when your body comes in contact with another object, in this case the ear buds touching your ear(s). The energy from this natural discharge is extremely small and was not generated by your product but rather a natural environmental occurrence. There is no safety issue with the product itself.
      You may be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Note: Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while.
      How long have you been wearing the headphones? The longer you wear headphones, the more your ears may hurt. Note: You may need to limit your headphone usage.

    I purchased this headphone 2 years ago and now it has stopped playing on both microphones. I factory reset it 2 times and the problem did not fit.
