I listen to music but I want something that's good with phone calls too. IF you are a Bass heavy music lovers may be check others but for my purpose regular music and call really good.

These are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned; I wear them when I study, clean, and craft. And that’s coming from someone who has the 3rd gen of them (they got old) Apple AirPods Pro Max (too heavy!) and short-term tried 2 Soundcore models (NC isn’t strong enough, and a little uncomfortable) Sony’s WH1000XM5 can’t be beat. They’re well designed, comfortable, sturdy, and the noise canceling is out of this world! Purchased two at Best Buy with my Total Tech membership for that 2 year coverage, that’s a match made in heaven! My spouse and I love them!

The XM5’s improve in every way that matters when it comes to sound and noise cancellation. The cups are deeper so they fit better. The connection is better than previous models, with seamless switches between devices working flawlessly. The accompanying app is great for nailing your specific sound settings. Oh and they work without having to be powered on via AUX.

I work from home and use them for MS Teams calls and the microphone array cannot be beat. I come through clear. Music is incredible with a typical bass forward response of most popular consumer models. However, this also helps with calls as voices are warm and not tinny.

These headphones sound fantastic! There are so many really cool features that remind you of the reason you dropped $400 dollars on some ear speakers.. They connect to everything effortlessly, they pause automatically when you start speaking to someone, you can hole the right headphone to turn on the external mics so that you can listen to someone talking to you, etc.. These have my vote for being worth the price, but only just worth it. Good job Sony, these are fire.

The Built-In Microphones in Both the Earpiece is an Innovative Masterpiece. One Example is, I owned a Pair of XM2 (of the multiple I've owned) for a period of 3Yrs& 2Months. and worked as good ax the Day I bought them. I'm Wheelchair Bound with a Back Pack affixed to the Back of the 'Chair'. Had it Not been for them being STOLEN out of the Back Pack while I was on a Community Transit Bus I WOULD Still have Them. I had taken them off & put in Bk Pk for just a minute due to mechanical Wheel Chair Problem. When after getting off the BUS & Trying to get them, They WERE GONE. Great Headphones - Just don't fit my ears

The sound was a little better and they were much lighter. After almost 2 weeks of using them daily for 8+ hours for work, I came to the conclusion that my right ear was not comfortable in them and I could feel the inner lining of the ear cup pressing against my ear. I dealt with it for 5 more days than I probably should have. It made my ear sore from the pressure and rubbing. I am really upset because I liked the weight and sound quality. The ability to pair to multiple devices seamlessly made them PERFECT for me. I had them paired and connected to my work laptop and my gaming laptop. When a work call came in, it would mute the sound from my gaming rig. Overall, a GREAT headset for anyone...except me and my big ole ears...

Simple Review, One Big Warning Before Purchase

Some issues I had in beginning were simply resolved once I updated them, and haven't had a connection issues since. But because this a quick review one known issues with these headphones is the there swivel point failing over time if not taking care of. So if purchasing make sure to use the provided case. Because of this known issue its not getting a 5 but a solid 4. Would i recommend? Yes but keeping in mind that handle with care for a long lasting life.
