Nice balance of comfort and sound quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't want to rehash the feature list in this review, and instead will cut to my experience. I put these on my ears, and first thing i notice is they were very comfortable, especially when compare with other $400+ model from another vendor. The sound quality may not be the same as the $400+ model, on the other hand, what i liked is that when i put them on I had some difficulty distinguishing whether the sound was coming from my computer speaker or the headphones, so it felt 'natural' as if i was not wearing headphones. The only way i was able to confirm was to take the headphones off and confirm sound was indeed coming from headphones. May or may not be the best sound quality (I'm not an audiophile as a special interest), but the overall experience with these is quite nice.

Not so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike most Sony products, this did not deliver. Headphones are not very comfortable or fit well. But most important, the sound is very subpar, with a lot of distortion and lack of clarity. This product is a bottom feeder at best.

Made for everyday cruising!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony Stamina Wireless Headphones WHCH500/B will get no complaints from me. Right out of the box, they were already partially charged and therefore only required about an hour to become fully charged. The pictorial instructions are universally easy to comprehend. Connecting to my Bluetooth device required me to simply press the power button for 7 (seven) seconds to start the pairing process. The same power button pressed for 2 quickly times activates the voice activation feature to make calls with voice command. Receiving calls is done by pressing power/phone button. The volume control can also advance or go back to the previous music selection. The volume is sufficient for enjoyable listening, but there are no bass or treble controls. The ear pad material is soft enough for comfort, but is a bit small for my big ears. The Sony Stamina Wireless Headphones WHCH500/B is made for your basic everyday cruising around the city, when time for music is available.

Fanstatic Simple and to the point
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a great set of headphones. Lightweight, easy to wear and setup. - Takes about 30s to get this connected to any of your mobile devices, or a computer that supports blue-tooth. (Take you more time to read the instructions, then it does to setup). - Loud... for a small to medium size of headphone, these pack a punch right out of the gate - Ear pieces rotate, which make it GREAT to store FLAT in a backpack or a drawer, or while on a shelf during charging. Maybe be a bit large for smaller children, but teenage and above should be fine in size. Cons: - The headband is a bit stiff, and doesn't flex much. - Took a few seconds for it to power up, and the LED's are on the size, while the button is on the bottom. Just took a moment to realize it did turn on. - These are NOT really designed to work out... these are to enjoy music, audio with while you are out and about, maybe at a desk. these are a bit bulky for jogging or any intense work outs.

OK but U can pay more $ for more features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very compact sized over the ear headset. Also lightweight. No noise cancelling or extra bass features here. Used it to listen to Google Play Music free radio stations on my Toshiba Chromebook 1, with no issues. Also worked fine on a Pixel phone. Sound volume could be higher IMHO. Product is suppose to work with the Google Assistant. Only problem is my phone and Google Home Mini are in the living room of my condo, so no real way to test this feature. Didn’t have to use a pairing code to get set up. There is no cord to use as a wired set up in case Bluetooth goes down. I’m not too excited about this but YMMV. If U can afford to pay more, Sony has other models just so U know.

Great headphones for the money
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones have the Sony quality for a great price. I have a $300 pair of Sony headphones that do have a couple more features such as bass boost (which I don't use) and noise cancelling but these smaller lighter headphones offer the same quality for a third of the price. Very comfortable fit and very good sound. The battery life is AMAZING!

Decent mid-range headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony WH-CH500 are a nice, very basic set of over the ear headphones. They are lightweight, feature simple controls, and offer great battery life. Unfortunately their lightweight and plastic feel make them seem cheap. One nice feature is the headphones pivot so they lay flat, perfect for storing them in my laptop bag. Sound quality is above average, but nothing spectacular. I recommend these to someone looking for a midrange set of headphones with great battery life.

Best value on ear bluetooth headphones with voice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're after the best value bluetooth on ear headphones, the Sony WH-CH500 are perfect. They offer great audio (good bass, treble) and good noise isolation. Battery life is rated at 20 hours. I haven't used them that long (yet) but that's more than enough to get you through a day of use (or a really long flight). They paired easily with my iPhone but if you use Android they have NFC pairing. It's not fully clear in the description or package but these have a mic and you can use them for voice calls as well. Highly recommended. Not really important, but made me smile, the pairing voice has an English accent which sounds cool.

Great sound, limited connection
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony WH-CH500 Bluetooth/NF headphones. My first impressions while unboxing was, they looked good, feel solid, and fit my ears much better than some others. It seems most on ear headphones don’t pivot enough to set flat against my ears, these do. Here’s another product that for some reason does not come with a charger. It comes with a charging cable that is 23” long. How a cable under 3 feet is even considered is beyond me. The volume of the headphones seems to be adequate for most listening. The bass response is good for on ear headphones. They reproduce bass down to 25Hz. They do not allow for a direct connection with a cord so Bluetooth and NF are your only choices. The overall sound is on par with headphones at this cost. They pair with only one source at a time. They can pair with up to 8 devices, but only 1 of them will be used at a time. They have buttons for skip forward/skip back/volume up/down, power/Bluetooth pairing/answer, as well as a standard micro USB charging port. I did not test the high end. Since I can no longer hear the high end, my comments on what they reproduce would not be valid. I can tell that they are producing highs well above my ability to hear. I tested the Bluetooth range out to 35’ with no dropouts. Beyond that the sound began dropping out. This was with normal wood frame household walls between the stereo and the headphones. Solid exterior walls could reduce the distance. At this point I’ve been using them for about 4 hours. When you first turn them on you get a nice soft female voice in your ears that says, “Power on, Bluetooth connected. They call both Bluetooth and NF, Bluetooth as far as connection goes. I would like to see them pair with more than 1 device at a time. I have others that connect to my stereo and my phone at the same time. This allows calls and music to be from different sources. I would also like to be notified in some way of the power level remaining. Using them as a headset for my phone was less than acceptable. They do work, and with some people they will not have an issue with audio dropouts in a call. I on the other hand replace my phone when it starts doing that. Being a little older I still remember the days of phones with cords. So when my cell phone starts dropping sounds, it gets replaced. If you are considering these for use as a phone headset, go to a store and try them out first. For the price you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for some great sounding cordless headphones.
