The Sony Stamina Wireless Headphones (WHCH500) are a unique set of headphones that work well but are likely not as comfortable as other non-earbud headphones due to their slim design. The last pair of non-earbud headphones I had were much larger and allowed my ears to fit inside of the round cutout in the cushions for a much more comfortable fit. These Sony headphones are much smaller and as a result, do not fully encapsulate my ears within the cushion cutouts. A significant portion of the cushions sit directly on my ears rather than the sides of my head despite the fact that I have small ears compared to the average male adult. In addition, the top part of these Sony headphones which goes across the top of your head doesn’t have any padding and is just plastic which also isn’t as comfortable as it could be if some sort of cushioning was used. I’m guessing these features were not included in this product in an attempt to keep these headphones as small and transportable as possible. This is certainly the case and the fact that the earpieces turn 90 degrees allowing the headphones to take up even less space is further proof of this and a very nice feature. As long as you are aware of these things and intend on using these headphones on the go rather than long periods of time, you won’t be disappointed and I recommend you give them a shot.

First the headphones are very simple to use. They connected with no issues and the sound quality was very good. They fold up easily and don't take up a ton of space when folded. We placed them in our SUV to connect to the DVD system for the kids. We haven't used the hands-free calling but it's an option. The once you learn where the buttons are it's not to difficult to operate, but I had to take them off a couple of times to ensure I was hitting the correct buttons. Overall...good product.

First off these are not bad for Sony. But I really wasn't impressed sound was clear but not very loud try to sync to app several times with no luck I was hoping to use the equalizer and preset sound settings from app. Nice entry level headphones and Bluetooth and not a very good fit kind of tight on head

These are lightweight, fold flat and are good for travel. They seem to be built such that they will withstand a beating in a backpack. If you have an Android device, pairing via NFC is as simple as swiping your phone against the one ear cup with the NFC symbol! Sound quality is mediocre at best. Bass is strong and boomy, extending into the vocal range. High end is rolled off somewhat, typical of Bluetooth headphones. EDM sounds good, as does some hard rock and metal. I wouldn't recommend these for music with a lot of vocals. Initial sound was bad, but with some burn-in they loosened up a little. Perhaps over time the boominess will improve, but that's doubtful. The onboard mic is good for phone calls. Pressing the power switch once answers calls. Pushing it twice brings up you phone's voice assistant. Comfort is average. They have a lot of clamping force, but not too much. They will stay on during a commute on the bus for sure. They are over-the-ear design, so if you wear glasses they may be a bit more uncomfortable.

They feel good, and sound good. Nothing ground breaking, but really solid. Battery life depends on the person using them, and how long they use them throughout the day. However, they should last you at least one full day

I was really looking forward to this headphone. These are made by Sony and that used to mean that they would be more than competent. They'd be amazing. The first thing I noticed about these after charging this unit before testing was how utterly uncomfortable these things are to wear. After trying to get these adjusted to actually fit on my head (I'm not a big skulled person), I found these just didn't feel comfortable. Part of the problem is that these are not really over the ear units - they reside on your ear and the shape of the pads is circular and not ear shaped. I have a current pair of "over the ear" headphones that are made by Insignia and those are roughly half the price of this Sony unit - they are true over the ear and are extremely comfortable and adjust perfected to the human skull. These Insignia units have their own cradle to charge and to store whereas the Sony has a micro-usb charge cable and no place to store and the cable is not very long. Once again the contrast between the Sony and the Insignia's is remarkble in favor of the Insignia. Volume control for the Insignia is right on the side of the headphone (outside of an ear cover) and all controls and indicator lights are similarly easy to see at one point. The Sony hides the controls to nearly underneath the ear cover and is difficult to find if it is on your head; the Insignia was remarkably easier. Sound reproduction wise, the Sony was a real letdown - these sound like a cheap unit and are not better than the Insignia that I have. I cannot think of any reason I'd use the Sony's over the Insignia other than the Sony supposedly has a microphone (the Insignia does not). I did not bother to test the microphone function because I couldn't stand wearing the headphones. The Sony headphones are less bulky than the Insignia, but I don't ever wear headphones because of how lightweight or small they are - I want great sound and comfort - neither of which the Sony has. I'm sure there are very mobile friendly headphones that are more comfortable than this thing. Good sound fairly flat but a little processed sounding. Good bass. Bluetooth 4.2 no pairing issues with pixel 2. Somewhat tight - not good for large heads. On the ear.

dealing with sony and for $ 80, I really expected more, more sound quality, more comfort in the head, I think the best point in its favor would be the battery life ... the quality of sound leaves much to be desired, nothing It is remarkable ... I would say that the sound quality is very average ... nothing remarkable in them, in fact the volume is very low ... they " insignia headphone " are much better than these and for less than half the price .. .the truth I would look elsewhere ... very disappointed !!!

I love SONY products. That being said, these particular headphones fall short. 1. While the headband is adjustable, I found the lack of padding (only plastic) uncomfortable with very brief use. 2. Terrible latency when used with a Bluetooth transmitter for TV sound. 3. Works fine with iPhone, iPad, etc. 4. Surprisingly nice sound. I will return these and search for a better solution.

    low quality of sound

I bought these to replace my MDR-ZXB220BT (basically the same headphones) which had 8 hours of listening time but over time decreased to about 5 or 6 hours. The 20 hour listen time for the same price as the old pair was a selling point, but on the 1st use, I noticed immediately the difference in sound quality. Less full, kind of tin can-ish compared the full range sound of the old pair. Now I use the old pair as my go-to head phones and use this new pair as a backup. I'm actually tempted to buy a new set of the old model and keep these in the drawer as a "backup backup". The other complaint I have is how tight they were (and still kind of are) on the head. I have to stretch them over my desktop computer case when charging them just to make them comfortable to wear.

Not a very good first impression. The headphones feel very cheap like its going to break every time put them on. If you remember back in the 90s the Sony Walkman headphones.. These feel just like that. Not just the weight and build, but how it fit on your heads and the sound.. Sorry this a miss.

Maybe I got a defective one for Christmas 2018. I can only get sound from the left side of the headphones..... I've reset them 2x paired and unpaired them with my Android; Samsung Note 9 still only 1 side of sound. IDK
