a disappointing product from Sony
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had great hopes for these headphones, which I intended to use with my Samsung TV. They were very comfortable, and the sound quality was very good. However, none of that matters because they were a pain in the neck to use. I discovered that I had to go through a long setup procedure every time I wanted to use these headphones. Sony should have created an interface that allowed a user to switch easily between TV speakers and headphones. I returned these to Best Buy, and they were very helpful in finding a set of headphones that met my needs.

Good headphone, not much of noise cancellation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my husband who needs quiet working environment. He says it feels super comfortable even after wearing it for hours, but doesn’t reduce the ambient noise all that much. It was good buy when on sale, but I wouldn’t pay the full price.

Excellent headphones for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased these from another retailer a while ago looking for wireless noise cancelling headphones but was a bit too early on the trend. These headphones produce excellent sound but after trying out the MX1000 series I would have to say that these cannot touch those when it comes to sound production or noise cancelling. If you're not a stickler then these are really good headphones. But if you are a bit more discerning or have by chance listened to anything on the MX1000s then these don't seems as great. I will mostly likely upgrade to the MXs at some point soon.

Had to change review they all break in ~3mo's
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are "well reviewed" headphones that I was excited to get and use... they sound great, the battery lasts literal days for me, easy to pair.... HOWEVER I am on my 3rd pair under warranty because literally one day they will just not charge or turn on... first pair took 5 months, second pair took 2 and I truly babied then because of the hassle of replacing the first time... Believe they might be assembled very cheaply and that simply doing a jumping jack with them on might internally break a connection... PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE!!!! If you scoured to find this review please take my warning seriously I only took this time to help spare others.

Cheap feeling and creaky
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These feel super cheap and the plastic creaked every time I moved my head which was super annoying. Sound was fine but noise cancelling was sub par. I did like how lightweight they are but the downside to that is at times they felt like they’d fly off my head if I moved wrong. Ultimately I returned them.

Good quality sound.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got these headphones today. I have upgraded from the WH-CH500 headphones and was rather impressed. I know some people are let down by the lack of bass in these headphones, but that is the reason I got them. I also upgraded my Bluetooth speaker from the SRS-XB10 to the SRS-XB21. I have been very impressed with Sony music products lately and will probably continue to purchase them.

Excellent Sound Quality, Minimal Noise Cancelling
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these through credit card points. The sound quality is exceptional, but the noise cancelling is a joke. If you want real noise cancelling, you better be ready to shell out over $300. Still, with that said, they are comfortable and produce quality wireless sound.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has the potential to be long, but I'll try to be as concise as possible. I won't spend much time on audio quality so look elsewhere if you are searching for that. I will say that the audio was adequate. It wasn't good or bad, but considering these are $200 dollars, it should be better. The ANC is disappointing. There were times I could barely tell when I had it turned on. I've used these for plane rides and car trips and it is good enough, but it isn't great. Not nearly as good as the more expensive models and, in my opinion, not close to worth $200. I initially bought these because I wanted a "more economical" but still high quality ANC headphone. I have a hard time spending $300 plus on headphones. I owned the Bose QC25 for a few years. I sold them when I lost my headphone jack. I bought the Sony 1000XM2 but returned them because I had buyer's remorse for spending so much. My point is that I have a good basis for comparison and these headphones don't even come close to those previously mentioned even though the $200 is still a lot of money. I kept the headphones because I'm a sucker for deals. I was never blown away by anything about these, but I bought them around the holidays and actually got them for $80. At more than 50% off the normal price, I thought I was getting a good deal and decided to keep them. My opinion now is that there are headphones that cost less than 80 dollars (full price) that are better than these. With all that said, here comes my biggest complaint. After using them for about 5 months I started to get this random, extremely loud static/interference noise. At this point they were still under warranty through Sony, but I didn't submit a complaint because it only happened once. Until it happened again. Now I'm 15 months into my purchase and the frequency of this random noise is increasing. I contacted Sony and described the issue. They brushed it off saying that it is normal to have interference. To be clear, like most people can probably say, I own multiple bluetooth devices. I know what the temporary interference from the microwave sounds like and this isn't it. It was so harsh and loud that I couldn't wait to get the earphones away from me. Also, it would happen in places where external interference is less likely. I would live in fear of using them because I didn't know when the sound would happen again. Sony told me that my device is not defective and that this is normal. They said it was probably something in my environment causing the interference. As a side note, none of my other bluetooth devices have this problem. If it is something in my environment causing the problem with my wireless connection, why don't I experience it with my other devices too? If this is just normal to Sony then I persist in saying that my Sony device is defective or the Sony process is defective. In the end, after many phone calls to Sony, they have refused to admit that there is anything wrong and that my issue is "normal". They are not offering any solution to this problem. So I am left with a pair of headphones with severe limitations and no possibility of financial reparation. So whether you spend 40 dollars or 350 dollars on a pair of Sony headphones, just hope that you don't have the same issue because it will likely be money wasted. Very unhappy with this product, but even more unhappy with Sony customer support. I guess they are just too big to care.

Not really "over ears" for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use; sound is nice. But they sat on my ears instead of over, & boy, they hurt my ears! I don't think that my ears are especially big. Also, purchased in gray--not as nice-looking in person as online.

Not Bose, Hard Comparison
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I left my Bose Quiet Comforts on a plane ant got these as a replacement, cause I didn’t want to spend the money. I’m disappointed. Like, immediately disappointed. The Bose were QUIET and cut out all the noise. These things ‘leak’ ambient noise. And you can tell you’re wearing headphones and there’s distinct placement an identity of the speaker, whereas the Bose were like a fluid cloud with no distinct location of the sound source. It’s not a fair comparison, price for price. These were deeply discounted, at Best Buy and 1/3 the cost of the Bose. These Sony’s are not noise canceling, dispute the printing on the box.

Great sound... but hurt my ears
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked these headphones. They felt great on my ears at the store and they delivered some awesome sound. Unfortunately, I had to take them back. After wearing them for an hour or so, ears started bothering me. Since this kept happening for the next few days, I had to take them back.

Not Noise Cancelling but they have good sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these to be able to listen to lessons while in the living room with hubby while he's watching the TV. Bad news is I can still hear the TV even if it's music playing in the headphones. With only lessons, it's quite distracting. They should not be sold as noise cancelling because that is misleading!!!

Noise canceling not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reviews for these headphones are much higher on Best Buy than Amazon. Noise reduction is at best 50%. The sound quality is fine but if your main concern is noise canceling look someplace else.

Underwhelming Noise Cancellation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased it per good reviews at Best Buy, but it turns out noise cancellation capability is very disappointing. I compared with Bose QuietComfort 25 at the same distance from a running fan. QC25 is able to cancel out 90% of fan noise while Sony can cancel out maybe 20%. If you are primarily looking for noise cancelling headphones, this is not it. Save the trouble and just get Bose.
