I would have rated them higher, except 10 days ago the right ear piece stopped working......comfortably past any warranty. Disappointed they only lasted 17 months. Unbalanced enough now to be almost useless unless you like hearing only one track.

I work at best buy and I have seen many customer buy beats and very high priced headphones. Everything is based on brand and whats the coolest looking. I've seen these headphones go for 99.99 at the bottom and the normal is 200. These are better then a lot of the headphones I've tried while working with high dollar items and have more features then many. The long battery life and hard hitting lows make them great if you are a base lover. For the people that rather have a very crisp sound I find that you'll enjoy the control of adding your own base if you feel like it but still having a very balanced and crisp sound. Pros: Heavy base that's controllable, great build quality, good to ware for long time periods, they support aptx, and worth the 200 if you don't get them on sale. Cons: Bigger then most headphones and can't fold down smaller even with though the drivers will turn to flat they are still very large.

These units sound good (with bass boost off), but I carry them back and forth to work so a case to hold them without damage would be helpful. I also wish they had better sound cancellation. There is a port in the top of each ear piece that allows air to pass in and out of the headphones. This means that conversations around me are easily audible with the headphones on and music playing at a low volume.. With the bass boost on all of my music sounds drowned out by the extreme over amplification of the low frequency notes, but I love the sound with bass boost turned off. Battery life of 20hrs appears to be accurate. I had 2 days with about 9 hours of use each day (music, podcasts, and 8 hours of conference calls). After 18hours they were still going strong, but I charged them up so it wouldnt go dead mid day. Phone calls were clear and others on the call said I sounded good to them.

So I love these headphones, and I recommend buying them if you want comfort and quality music. Don't buy them if you carry your headphones around a lot bc they're kinda bulky, and they stick out from your head pretty far, so I would feel weird wearing them in front of people. I work in a cubicle so no one really sees me with them on. Pros: Over-the-ear style and soft ear pads make them really comfy for a good 1-3hours straight. More than that and you need a break. Built very sturdy. Good looking design. Love the wireless feature and controls on the headphones. Charge lasts forever, I'd say I have them on for about 2-3 hours a day, 5 days a week. And they last about 2-3 weeks on a charge. The Extra Bass button is really nice for music but not for speaking like podcasts. Cons: They are pretty big and bulky and make transporting slightly more difficult, but the earpieces do rotate in so they can lay somewhat flat. Because the pads are so big they stick off your head pretty far on either side, making an unflattering look.

Love the sound of these headphones. Biggest problem, is the joint over the earpiece is very fragile, and impossible to repair, so when it breaks, your out of luck.

I've been looking for a good pair of BT cans to walk around with and travel with. My goal was to find some with BT and NC, but I couldn't find any that fit the bill - the Beats Studio Wireless sounded really bad to me and the Bose QC25s aren't bad, but they don't have bluetooth... I also tried the Sony MDR-ZX770BN, but their sound was very shallow and closed. Anyways, decided to go with this since I trust Sony headphones and they haven't disappointed for what they are. I've only had them for a day, so they're not broken in, but I think I have a good idea of what they're like. I usually listen to Sony MDR-V6s. Those things are awesome, especially with velour pads. I don't like them as much as Grados, but they are closed back and therefore more usable in public spaces. I hate the cable on those, and after buying some bluetooth earbuds, I've realized that going anywhere with a cord is archaic. The sound of the V6s is known as flat, but I'm just going to call it great - I can play anything and be happy with the result as long as the download quality is okay. With the 950BTs, the sound is much more closed, and the mids and treble are nowhere near as clear and open as the V6s. Also, the bass is good enough on the 950BTs without Bass Boost on, but it still isn't as tight as the V6s. Surprisingly, I find the 950BTs more comfortable because I have fairly large ears and they are much larger headphones. Time will tell how these hold up, but for the price and lack of cables, I'm going to keep them since they do the job better than the other headphones I tried.

The moment I put this head set on, it fit just perfectly. The sound is what I expected and more. With the extra bass it's awesome! And it has all the wireless features Bluetooth and NFC. Great buy! I would recommend this product.
