Changes everything (4.5)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality is so great and the headphones are comfortable. The Extra Bass so good, you'll feel the bass in songs you never thought had much bass in it. Music experience is top of the line. I LOVE the wireless part of it too when i want to watch movies or youtube. The only thing i don't like is that it will have to be charged, but it lasts like 20 hours so you'll be good.

It's Broke
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product fits nice and good bass sound with bluetooth. However, the line input is broken. I discovered this 20 days after purchase and denied a return from best Buy since it's past 14 days. "That is why we offer insurance!"

Great Sound and Extremely Comfortable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are overall great headphones. While I don't listen to overly bassy music (I listen to rock and metal), the sound quality with the Extra Bass off is stellar. I don't really ever use the Extra Bass feature unless I am listening to older music (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, early Slayer). The lows are accentuated very well for older rock and metal. The headphones are really very comfortable as well. I usually do homework at a whiteboard in my apartment for hours at a time without taking them off or readjusting them. The 'phones are padded very nicely and fit very well. Would recommend to anyone who listens to music as these headphones make any music type sound great. The one nag I have for these is that Extra Bass and the Play/Pause controls do not work when the headphones are plugged in using a wire. This is slightly disappointing but not really that much. I usually use a Bluetooth source anyway and the headphones sound great even without the Extra Bass so it's not really a big deal at all.

Great Set of Cans!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: These are a great set of headphones! For the money, they are bar none the best I've heard. Even compared to the most expensive Beats these are the better set. The bass is good, but not overpowering on regular. If you still want more, you can turn on bass boost. Very little distortion, plenty loud, comfortable, easy pairing, good battery life, awesome all the way around. Well almost. CONS: My only complaint is that there is no noise cancelling. It wasn't an issue for me, the listener. You can hear somewhat with them on, but once the music starts that all fades away. But, I like my music loud and everyone around me could hear everything I was listening to. Still, if that's not an issue for you, get them.

Very Noice!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way better than my last headphones as far as sound. The BASS BOOST sounds good and rich. I like that there is no external battery. My last set needed a AA battery for the bass boost. Also it required you to turn it off manually and I would constantly forget and I would always need a new battery. I chose these to drowned out little loud mouth dogs and they worked good. I also chose them for there thinness and the fact that the sides are flat. Nothing sticking out for laying on my side to watch TV in bed. I was able to fall asleep no problem.

Great Headphones, Not Perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After trying on a few pairs of headphones that were extremely uncomfortable I went with the Sony MDRXB950BT. The sound is a 5 out of 5, unless you are an extreme audio junkie, in which case you might be able to distinguish more premium sound. I am a musician and I listen to a lot of jazz, acoustic, and classical. So you might wonder why I bought headphones tagged for "Extra Bass"? It turns out that depth of range makes everything sound good. These headphones sound as good as any I've owned. I wish they blocked a little more exterior sound. I have jaybirds and with the foam comply tips, I don't hear ANYTHING except the music. It's a toss up whether the sound is better with the jaybirds or these, but they're completely different. I love that the ears on this pivot flat for portability/compact storage. I also LOVE the bluetooth feature. I specifically bought these because I don't want wires for headphones when I'm working, but if you're on an airplane, and BT is not allowed, then the wire they give you to plug them in is an OK backup. The charge lasts me a week of occasional use. My only complaints are 1) the USB port is a little tight. I wish this had USB-C or a wireless stand I could set it on overnight, 2) My ears hurt after I wear these for a couple hours. The band adjusts longer/shorter, but the tightness is what it is. If I were looking again I might try beats just to see if they're more comfortable, but with the price difference this seemed like a much smarted buy, and everything I read said the sound was better on these. I would definitely endorse these phones even if they aren't off the chart perfect in every single way.

Lots of Bass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by prefacing that I have never owned bluetooth headphones. I bought these for 2 reasons, extra bass and plug in cord accessory. Was I pleasantly surprised!!! These headphones paired with my iPhone6s in a matter of seconds, a long with my computer. Headphones came fully charged and ready for use. The bass is a lot of bass!! You don't need it, there if you do. Regular setting already has enough bass. Also, I was not aware it came with a volume control on the right. Nice. These headphones do not advertise as noise cancelling, but the big headphone cushions (beware, they are thick cushions) more than keeps excess noise out. Now, some things that are not stated. Some items do not work while using the cord, only in bluetooth mode. The volume controls, Bass Boost, and fw/rw buttons do not work. The headphones appear to turn off to conserve battery power while using the cord. So, basically it is turned off, so any functions on the headhpones do not work. Other than that, no issues with the headphones. Love them!!!

Fantastic set of over-the-ear headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always shied away from dropping over $50 on headphones—I loved premium sound, and the manner in which I sought to achieve it on a tight budget was through buying good, in-ear headphones. But I finally pulled the trigger on quality with the Sony MDRXB950BT/B. And quality it was. I hadn't bought over-the-ear headphones before but I had always wanted to. These were about as comfortable as one can imagine, and definitely more comfortable than budget on-the-ear headphones and high-quality in-the-ear headphones. I really enjoy the sound quality, too—I haven't used other over-the-ear headphones to which I can compare, but I've certainly tested other ones at stores. Not only does it have nice range at the highs and lows, and not only does the bass boost give a nice, not-overly-exaggerated push, but it's really nice with mids. I tried out some Beats headphones and felt like the highs and lows were great, but was missing a nice balance. The only area for improvement here is that the sound bleeds out a fair amount—I work in an office and people can more or less make out what I'm listening to. I'm not embarrassed by my music selection, but I'm sure pickier coworkers would deride me.

Great as long as they don't break
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones 1 year ago. I gave them to my daughter whom enjoys music very much. I would say she gave them good use and she really liked. When I received them, they seemd to be sturdy but unfortunately they weren't. My daughter gave them good use but never dropped them and they were always home, never taken outside. My complaint with them is that the battery didn't hold a charge after about 6 months and then the frame broke. So needless to say, I'm not satisfied with them.

Great Headphones, Awesome Bass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for Bluetooth wireless headphones and tried a few before settling on these. At first I was looking for something cheaper and bought the MDRZX770BT for $70 at Best Buy but was very unhappy with those. I returned them and upgraded to XB950's and haven't looked back. The XB950's are worth the price difference all day long. Even without the bass boost, the music is so much richer. If you want to have some fun and actually feel the music, turning on the bass boost brings it to another level. The biggest advantage to the XB950's is the fact that they come with an optional wire. This comes in so handy especially if you're traveling and the battery dies. The ZX770 were wireless only. I definitely recommend the XB950.
