    they're good headphones

I really like the headphones because they are really comfortable unlike my sol republic headphones i own even after long periods of time but they also don't really seem that loud at all even with the volume turned all the way up. I don't know if it's the way they were made or it might be too much cushion in them. The Sony headphones also seem really loose while wearing them but the bass in these are great.

    Buy these!

I was contemplating purchasing Beats Wireless Studio for $341 on sale. Don't waste your money! These Wireless Sony's sound just as good at a fraction of the cost even if they weren't currently on sale. Mega comfortable and very good bass. Without. Bass boost it's not as good, but you do have the boost if you choose at a great price.

I just bought these headphones and they work flawlessly. The sound quality is amazing, the durability is great, and it's very portable. The only downside I think is that they don't fold, but even that doesn't bother me much.

According to my daughters, better than Beats

I purchased a red and blue pair for Christmas gifts. My daughters both had Beats and they both said that these headphones are better. For me the price and the reviews won me over. I do wish that these headphones came with a case. I was also concerned that the larger size of these headphones in comparison to the Beats would be a draw back. However, the bulkiness does not seem to bother my daughters. Again, they emphasized that these headphones have a better sound quality than the Beats, even without the bass booster on. To anyone who might be having pairing issues, the Geek Squad help me with the solution. While the device is on and flashing the blue light, you must hold the power button down until that blue light starts flashing blue/red really really fast. This is the procedure to make the device "discoverable". At this point your bluetooth enabled devices will pick up the headphones. Please note that you can pair the headphones with multiple devices, but we found out yesterday, that you can only listen to one device at a time. So if you are listening to music on your phone and want to switch to watching a movie on you laptop, the headphones won't automatically pick up the sounds to your laptop even if the the phone is is no longer playing sound. To make the audio for the laptop come through the headphones, you have to turn off the bluetooth and reconnect, then the sound will work. At least this has been our experience.

So I bought these headphones just to try them out. I tried the crushers, the Dre Beats, but these right here are the best ones. Bluetooth for 1 and second the extra bass makes it seem like your in a studio with the bass. I recommend this product to everyone or at least try because you will not be disappointed

Great Bass but Disappointed by the Treble

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I really wanted to give this product 4 or 5 stars because battery is great, design is beautiful, price is affordable, and bluetooth connection flawless. However, headphones are ultimately about the sound, and I am not satisfied with it. Don't get me wrong, it has a good sound, bass frequencies are indeed great. These headphones are great for Hip Hop, R&B, lounge, etc. But I am really disappointed by the treble frequencies. They are not vivid and clear, which is a completely turn off for those who mainly listen to Jazz and acoustic music. Unfortunately, they don't have an internal equalizer (an old very cheap pair I previously owned had it), but if you use it with an iPhone or HiFi system, you should be able to make some sound adjustments. On a bright side, the extra bass feature works great, but totally useless for me. I guess it is just me that made a wrong purchase based on my music genre preferences. However, I have decided not to return them because, to be honest, I doubt something better can be found at this price without spending the ridiculous $200-$300 for a Bose or Beats.

I bought this for my child to use with her iPad and it is not compatible. It should have said you need to download app on Google play in the front in big print. Not the small one on the back, that you can hardly see. No wonder it was half price during Black Friday.

I purchased these because of the high review ratings, and the ratings are spot on; these are great wireless (and optional wired if you want) headphones. Comfort / fit is great and the sound is just about perfect.

Plastic connecting ear pads to the headset broken within a week making this unit inoperable. Returned the unit to best buy for a full refund. Saw the broken demo unit in the store at the same spot, so it appears to be a design flaw.

I was looking for a pair of headphones around the $200 price-point and decided on the Sony MDRXBT950's after looking at multiple more expensive options like the Bose QC25's and the Sennheiser Momentum's. This pair provides really great sound and the bass is quite honestly unmatched. The extra bass button is somewhat overkill, but when listening to deep music rich with bass, it is truly superb. Mids and highs soar, and even alternative artists shine with ease.

Great comfortable headphones. I was going to get the wired ones because I didn't want to recharge but the good news is if you connect by wired with this version it works without battery/charge. Best headphones I've ever had and it works as a Bluetooth for making calls as well.

Worst customer I have ever encountered. Sent them in for a warranty claim that Sony had agreed to and they sent back a pair worth 50% of the value of the original headphones, and refused to exchange them! Buy Beats!

I bought the Sony Extra Bass wireless headphones as a gift for my 12 year old son. He was really excited to get them and said he heard they were better than the Beats headphones. He was also glad that they were Bluetooth capable. I must say I was very impressed with the sound quality when I listened to them at the store display. They are also very nice looking, have thick comfortable ear surrounds, and appear to be well built. Very nice set of headphones for such a reasonable price.

It stopped connecting with any bluetooth device after a few weeks. Too bad it's too late to return it now. By the way, it's NOT a good headphone for working out. Slips out of the head when sweaty.

Beats studio, they are not. I like these headphones, but they have a time and place. Like sitting around indoors working on a paper or some house work, or chilling at the library. First, I got these for 99$. Would not pay more for them. Sound. I can't complain. I like bass but not the headache inducing kind. Even with the boost, it doesn't upset. The boost is a bit much. Still haven't found music that it doesn't muddle. Otherwise I do prefer these over beats. They sound much more balanced. I like how the pressure created at high volume pushes the ear pads away from my head... Comfort. Pretty great, but not high quality memory foam on the pads. Sit nice on the top. Construction. Very solid. But this is where it fails if you want to transport at all. These are huge cans and they do not fold at all or fit anywhere. I use an old metal lunchbox for safety sake. Look kinda silly as well sticking off the sides of your head like princess Leia. They won't even chill around your neck at all. This is why I would have rather bought refurbished studio beats for around $160. Beats look awesome and come with a great case to transport.

Used these at work and working out. The fit was very comfortable and didn't move around too much during my workouts. They look a little out of date, but the sound quality was great. I rarely used the base boost to be honest, just because I felt it made the sound unbalanced. I was very happy overall with these, even at their higher-than-my-comfort-zone price tag.
