Best bang for the buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Beats by Dre Wireless Studio headphones for about a week. But, after a few days, I was wondering if they would last. They looked great, but the plastic felt flimsy and I could tell they will come apart easily. The guy at the store told me to buy these, they are better. I humbly came back and exchanged the 379 dollar headphones for these (which were on sale for 149). I was BLOWN away by not only the quality of the sound, but the quality of the build. They are very loud, and also very clear and precise. An absolute bargain at 150-200 bucks. Don't be fooled by big rapper's brand names, or the fact that they are all over the TV and internet. These do the job better at half the cost. So, you can do what I did, buy the beats and come back (humbled) and exchange them. Or you can buy the right one from the beginning and enjoy great quality sounds... Also, battery life is incredibly good. It lasts 8-10 hours of actual use. I leave them (turned off) for weeks, and when I turn them back on, I still have plenty of juice... I highly recommend these. And you can always return them if you aren't satisfied.

Pretty Good Wireless Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought a previous wired version of a Sony Extra Bass headphones and they were the best I ever owned. The bad thing about them other than being wired was they were huge on my head (think Princess Leia). I wanted a wireless headphone for the next generation of iPhones coming out bc I heard they won't have a headphone jack. I love the color of the blue headphones and they were wireless so I gave them a shot. The Good: They look good for cans. It has good range wirelessly. The bass is pretty good (I listen to a lot of EDM / Hip-Hop) and has better overall sound quality over Beats headphone IMO. The battery charge lasts a 3-4 hours if you are not using the optional wire it comes with. It can be used for phone calls bc it has a microphone. The Bad: Nothing was bad, but there were slight negatives. My previous Sony's sounded crisper, I'm not sure if that's a product of being a wireless headphone or not? Charging the headphones is something I'm not used too. I wish the headband portion of the headphone was a little more padded than it is. If you are doing any exercise with them, your ears will get sweaty. Overall: I like them for the price ($129.00 on sale).

very nice headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as a gift for my daughter but tried them myself first. Very comfortable, great sound. I do agree with some other reviews that the bass, even when not boosted can drown out some of the other sounds in the music but it is still a good pair of headphones

Great headphones for all around activities
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones close to when they were originally released. I bought them for the main reason that they were, and still are, insanely comfortable. I still use them to this day after the few years that I have owned them, and they work great. Very durable, great sound (especially with the bass boost if you enjoy that), comfortable, sleek looking, great connection range for the bluetooth users - overall great set of headphones.

Great headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with purchase. Wireless tech is so superior to old style headphones. Bass is very strong and over the ear design is comfortable and helps reduce ambient noise levels.

Best Headphone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good head phone, better build quality, good sound and holding the charge for long time. Only drawback, sometimes the wireless connection when attending call is breaking.

Truly Impressed with these Headphones!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start out by saying that I'm a fan of Sony's sound quality. I've had Sony on-ear headphones before and although there were issues with them, the sound quality was superb. I went in to Best Buy looking for something really comfortable and full of features. The boxing of these headphones is a little weak. For a retail price of $199.99, I'd expect these headphones to come in a nice sturdy box with some "gifts" like a case inside. Unfortunately, the box is flimsy and the inside contains the cables, the headphones, and some papers. The Appearance: These headphones are good looking. It's a simplistic design but that goes a long way nowadays. The cans are actually quality large, both in width and circumference. My head isn't very large and the width of these headphones does look a little funny (I think so, at least), but the design is appealing so it's okay with me. The band is all metal and gives it that premium look. Nothing on these headphones is reflective or "shiny" which is good because I found it very hard to get them dirty with fingerprints. Features: The main reason I bought these headphones was for it's incredible performance on bluetooth. The bluetooth is very easy to connect and took about 2 seconds to pair with my Mac and iPhone. I haven't tested the NFC, but I would assume it's equally as easy. The bluetooth is useful for me because I HATE wires and I need to be able to answer calls while working on the computer. The microphone that's built-in works very well and people have said that I sounded very clear on their end. The left ear cup contains the micro-usb charging port, 3.5mm input, mic, bass boost button, and power button. The right ear cup has the rev/play/pause/forward slider, and the volume up and down rocker. The play slider can also be pressed down to answer or hang up calls. The bass boost button makes a noticeable difference in the low-end sound. It boosts the bass by A LOT. The bass sounds really strong and sharp but it's too strong for most occasions. I only use it if there's something wrong with my media file and the bass is very muted. Having it on during any music genre is just too much. This isn't a bad thing though, I like having the option of instantly increasing the bass if needed. That being said, the bass WITHOUT the bass boost is amazing. It's still very strong and well balanced with the mid's and high's. (As a side note, all of these comments are being made while listening on bluetooth). The battery life seems to be on spot with the 20 hours that are advertised, if not better. I used them for about 8 hours yesterday and I'm still above 50% (my iPhone shows the bluetooth device battery in the notification bar). The comfort is truly a selling point in these headphones. I would buy them just for their comfort even if they didn't sound stellar. I have medium-sized ears and the leather (maybe pleather?) ear cups encompass my entire ear. The cushions are VERY soft and the headphones are light which is incredible considering the amount of technology in them. I couldn't wear my previous on ear headphone for more than 45 minutes but I wore these Sony headphones for 3 hours without taking them off yesterday and I had no ear pain, no head pain, and no headache! Sound Quality: The bluetooth sound quality sounds nearly identical to the sound quality when wired. It's incredible what Sony has been able to accomplish here. I typically stream in "high quality" on Spotify and I've really enjoyed listening to my music. Obviously, these are not studio monitor headphones and I didn't want headphones for that purpose. These are very high end, consumer level headphones. Don't mistake them for studio monitors or the like. The famous Audio Technica ATH-M50x are in this price range and may reproduce sound more accurately than these Sony headphones, but are they wireless? Can you answer calls with them? Can you increase bass with a touch of a button? These features outweigh the absolute reproduction of sound for me. If the headphones sound good and have these features, then I'm happy and Sony delivers. When you plug these headphones in with the 3.5mm cable (which feels a little cheap but is functional), the sound quality improves but very slightly. It's indiscernible if you're listening to music through Spotify. The main thing I noticed was that high's sounded clearer and sharper with the cable than on bluetooth but it wasn't a drastic leap. Conclusion: These are a must buy whether they're on sale for $160 or at their retail price. They're well made, comfortable, full of features, and most importantly, sound fantastic. I'm very glad I spent this amount of money on a pair of quality headphones.

Most comfortable headphones I've ever had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return a different pair of headphones because they just hurt my ears too much.. I got these because one of our Sony representatives told me that they reduce ear fatigue and my ears are really sensitive, so I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did; they're amazing. The bass is incredible, very clear and detailed sound, and they're SO comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

I must be the anomaly- won't charge/music cuts out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a pair of these during the cyber monday/black friday specials for $99. Tried them in store first and it sounded like heaven to my ears. Very comfortable and great sound at nearly 50% off how could 1 say no to such a deal?? Well I brought them home and charged them with the cable supplied (which is very short btw) and within 30 minutes the light went out. I proceeded to use them wirelessly and although they claimed to be fully charged it was cutting in and out when using the bluetooth. I tried the usb cable with other devices and they charged no problem, as well as tried charging the headphones via 3 different computers and even 1 phone charger. After plugging the headphones in the charge light would shut off after 30-60 seconds. I even left them on the charger overnight figuring I was depending on the charging light too much but the same problems persisted. When I used them wired they worked just fine minus the buttons being rendered useless and no "bass boost" feature. Figuring I received a defective pair after reading all the positive reviews and seeing very few people having the problem I was I exchanged them for another pair. (which BB accepted in 2 seconds with really no questions asked) Welp the same problem is there. They won't charge for more then 30 min and the music keeps cutting in and out for no apparent reason. Not sure what's going on. I've tried resetting them via the bass boost+play button and the other way bass boost+power button with no new results. So I'm completely lost as to what the problem is. Seems like it's just user error but I've done all I can think of. I really want these to work because when they work they sound amazing so I'm going to try to exchange them one more time. If that doesn't work I'll just return them for some wired earbuds or something...

Simply Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best pair of headphones I have purchased. There is no comparison between these Sony's and Beats, I truly don't understand what the hype surrounding Beats really is. The bass level of these headphones is amazing when bass boost is on and the sound is very full through the spectrum. The battery life is excellent when using wireless as well. I got lucky and purchased these at a discounted rate during black Friday but would purchase them at retail price anyways. These won't disappoint! I have recommended these headphones to numerous people already.
