I honestly didnt want to buy expensive earphones but after you tried them all, you want more and more sound quality out of a pair of earphones...So i decided to try this pair and so far, so good. I am enjoying the sound and the material for this pair aint at all bad. To be honest Skull candy does a good job with sound quality but this pair goes beyond that!!!!!! so buy a pair and try.

These headphones are amazing for studying or trying to silence out everything around you. They aren't noise cancelling but they manage to silence out pretty much everything around you anyway. They're also very comfortable and easy to set up.

These are some great sounding headphones as far as overall sound quality goes. As far as bass goes these headphones are very bass heavy while still remaining clear on the mids and highs.

I read the reviews prior to purchasing these headphones and they were so positive that I took a chance and bought these for $99 over Thanksgiving. The bluetooth was easy to pair with my smartphone. The instructions said I should plug the headphones into my computer for at least 4 hours to charge however, the red light went off within minutes of it being plugged in. Not sure if they were already charged by a previous buyer. I also had a hard time turning the headphones OFF - had to turn the Bluetooth on my phone off first and after a few tries, I was able to finally turn the headphones off. I've been listening to music for the past couple of days trying to like these headphones but I'm just not happy. The bass overwhelms all the highs and mids to the point of killing them. The result is a sound that is extremely muddy and the integrity of the sound is compromised. I'm an audio engineer and have had a career in the music industry for over 20 years. My ears are picky. These sadly didn't cut it. I'll have to return these and look into higher-end headphones. These might work if all you want to hear is BOOM BOOM but if you want quality music with balanced, crisp highs and rich mids-lows, then don't waste your money on these.

After spending several days reading online reviews of different brands of headphones, I finally settled on this Sony pair with absolutely no regrets. I originally considered the Bose SoundLink II, and the JBL Everest 700BT, but the online reviews didn't hold up to what I was after. I purchased this Sony pair because it offers decent noise-cancelling attributes, can be both wired OR wireless (which means no slicing through the cord with an X-Acto knife in architecture school!). Most importantly--GREAT sound quality without hearing my wallet choke. Bottom line: GREAT headphones for the price. Do yourself a favor and invest in a pair (or two!).

Bought these when they were on sale. Very happy with my purchase. Theses headphones sound incredible and are super comfortable. Would have bought them even if they weren't on sale.

WOW. This exceeds my expectations by far. The bass on this bluetooth headphones are awesome. I like the fact that I can alternate between using the auxiliary and bluetooth mode.

I purchased Beats Studios for my kids because they just had to have them. I decided to purchase a pair of the Sony's for myself. Once we got home and the headphones were charged, we decided to compare the sound quality. Long story short, we all have a pair of the Sony Extra Bass MDRXB950BT headphones and someone is getting a "great open box deal" on some beats studios.

I'm a Bass Lover and have no regrets for purchasing this extra bass headset. I had purchased powerbeats2 initially during thanks giving at $99 (due to the hype), I was not impressed with it and hence returned it and got this Sony headset for $130 (missed thanks giving $99 offer). I initially connected this Sony to my Macbook Pro and everything worked superbly and was more than happy to purchased this at regular price. Until when i tried to pair these headphones to my iphone, the headset was not even showing up in my phone. Then tried to reset to the factory setting and now it worked as expected and my iphone pairing was successfully. Later when i tried to use it again with my Macbook, it wouldn't pair up. So to make it work with my Mac i had to reset the bluetooth headset settings :( Thought I just got a bad device picked up from the store and hence exchanged it with similar new Sony headset. And same issue just repeated... My point of review is just to let the purchaser of this headset to be aware of this issue and the pain involved in switching the headset between different sources (device). And will recommend this headset for the Bass Treat.

I love these headphones, and for someone who loves bass these headphones are golden. The quality is amazing and for the price you really cannot go wrong with these. My only complaint is the Bluetooth. I pair the headphones with my computer at first, and when i try to pair it with my phone it gives me so much trouble because it just doesn't show up and it just doesn't connect. The same goes when i pair the headphones with my phone first; i just can't connect with my computer afterwards. I always have to restart to the manufacturers settings before i connect to a new device which is really annoying, but at least the quality is great.

This headphone is the best bluetooth headphone I ever bought. It sound so amazing and the bass on the headphone is amazing. It is so worth it to buy it I love it.

The Sound that comes out of these headphones are FANTASTIC. The ear cups also fit perfectly and sits comfortable during long sessions. Very happy with this purchase.

Great sound. Very soft ear cups. The sound is very clean . They hurt my years after extended use, but they are more than likely to be comfortable for most people

I was shopping in best buy and randomly saw these Sony headphones on display I gave em a listen not expecting much and I was blown away...the clarity of lows mids and highs are on par with any over ear beats headphone and the clarity of the bass puts these over the top! Great product!

Best headphone I have tried on. It's comfortable and the bass is really great! I would strongly recommend this sony headphones. The wireless is a big plus!

Overall very pleased with a well designed product. My only complaint is that you can't listen to anything while the headphones charge. With a 4 hour max charge time, if they die on you while you're listening to something it's kind of a pain to wait for them to recharge before you can do anything at all with them.

So, I've been looking for a solid pair of headphones to use in the gym for a while now. I am somewhat of a music junkie and wanted a pair to better my workouts by putting me in the zone. The Apple EarPods that came with my iPhone are nice for what they are... but I found them falling out and the cord getting caught on things... really frustrating... So, I decided to get some wired Beats Solo 2's. Got em for $100 on sale and to be completely honest I wasn't that impressed... the build quality and look was there. Nice and sleek. Well built and the ear cushions were fantastic! However, the sound wasn't that impressive... quality was good but didn't get very loud and the bass could've been better.... plus, for some reason, Siri activated all the time which just really upset me so I stopped using them. Got some wireless Powerbeats after that and while the wiresless aspect was nice. As well as the sound quality. They just had ZERO bass to them and the "6 hours" touted battery life was really about 4 hours.... returned them today.... Now, onto the Sony's! These were recommended to me by the associate saying that these compared to the Skull Candy Hesh 2's are far better. She also said she could give me an excellent price on them so I said why not?! Man, let me tell you, BEST headphones I've EVER used!! The build quality is good. The cans are big but that's OK because they fully cover your ears to really immerse you with some amazingly rich sound and bass. The lows and mids are there and simply POP. I found myself getting lost in the music numerous times! And the bass! Wow! Without bass boost they sound absolutely amazing! But, turn on bass boost and you have a freaking concert going on in your headphones! They just BEAT! The cushions are fantastic too! I could easily wear these headphones for hours whether in the gym or watching a movie. VERY happy with my purchase! I will say though... if I hadn't gotten these for the price I did(half off!!), I wouldn't have gotten them because frankly I'd never pay $200 for headphones. That's insane to me.... glad things went the way they did though and I'm loving these headphones!!

A great way to go wireless - very comfortable to wear and the sound quality is very close to wired. Feels solid overall. Enjoying it!

very good low end sound and bluetooth feature works very well. i try to use it for working out and sometimes slides around on the head. very good low end and avg or good high end

looking for a present to get for a 14-18 year old? get these they'll forget about what beats are trust me.
