The start up sound alone is so rich when you push the button. I had to big JBL similar portable speakers in the past and BOTH of their start buttons would eventually become defective so that you couldn't turn them on anymore, but Sony is reliable and sounds great! I wish I bought this one first instead of JBL.

The portability of it is great and while not something we can toss in a bag and run, it’s worth the trade-off in terms of sound quality and output. You can easily haul it, it’s not that bad, but it is so worth the extra effort to have the quality of sound this puts out.

It seems to sound MUCH better in an open environment. We use it on our back patio open in all directions. However in the house some trial and error are required for placement to make the sound optimized. All that being said, when placed correctly it has a great sound with tons of bass and plenty of volume for a backyard picnic.

Maybe its the sun/heat but sound was noticably turned down after about 30 minutes of use. Other wise the sound is absoutley amazing. Has deep rich bass which is a plus, better then expected. Treble is ok at mid volume, better when louder. Has app on phone whis is a plus. Has multiple plug ins in the back. Like it is water and weather resistant.

While the speaker is running on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, the sound may become low in the event that the rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
1. Turn off the speaker.
2. Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.
