This phone is good. Having an SD card slot alongside a headphone jack on a flagship phone is very rare these days. This phone has that, which is amazing. This is also my first time using a high refresh rate display (>60hz), and I think it’s an amazing experience. Having apps that take advantage of this refresh rate is a real treat. Pokémon Go does this to great affect, for example. I have had an amazing experience with this phone thus far. I do have to mention the battery life though, it leaves room for improvement. It doesn’t impact me that much, considering I always carry around a battery bank anyways, but it is very noticeable and needs to be noted.

As a die hard android fan I just had to try out the new Sony Xperia 1 IV, after seeing it's high end specs. It has a beautiful large OLED display, while still being narrow enough to be used with one hand. The 120fps is extremely smooth and makes mobile gaming and video streaming so much more enjoyable. A big advantage the 1 IV has over its leading competitors is, it offers a headphone jack, expandable storage via a micro SD card slot, and the BEST mobile phone camera on the market today. When testing the speakers, I listened to the same song on the Sony 1 IV and 2 other top of the line phones for this year. The Sony 1 IV beat them both without a doubt. The audio was clear, even on full volume and nothing got muffled down or distorted as the other phones audio had. It sounded as if I was using a Bluetooth speaker, By far the best cell phone speakers I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Overall this phone is perfect for anyone especially if you're a vlogger, photographer, streamer, gamer, or music lover.

WOW what a phone this is the first time ever i tried a Sony phone and hands down this is the best phone i ever owned, this is a beast of a phone which got high end specs in every department and does what manufacturer promised without any glitches or compromises This got latest Snapdragon Processor with 12gigs of ram and 512GB storage with gorgeous OLED 4K screen with 120fps refresh rate which is buttery smooth when it comes to normall activities or gaming it is very fast without any lags watching content on this screen is an altogether a unique experience with bezel less design you feel immersed This is a must have phone for all music lovers got front facing stereo speakers unlike traditional bottom speakers which outputs Dolby 360 degrees Reality Sound it feels like you are listening from a high end home theatre speakers but this tiny speakers got a nice bass and treble effects which doesnt mixup the voice with music it is very crisp and clear and have lot of customizable options to change Audio settings as per your liking and surprise this phone got 3.5mm headphone jack which is discontinued by all other brands, MusicPro feature is a nice option for professionals to record a studio level Music content The Camera where Sony is expert in i dont have words how in the world manufacturer made it possible to put a DSLR quality 3 cameras in this 6.5 inch phone the quality of pictures are stunning and 4k videos you can produce from this Zeiss lens are absolutely stunning and Topnotch, sony included PhotoPro, CinemaPro and VideoPro high end professional apps with literally unlimited features to create studio level video content and pictures, its upto your imagination or creativity Sony made the hadware and software available in this phone you can shoot a movie with this. This phone consists of Dual Sim capability or use it as 1 sim and other side as SD card, call quality is amazing with background noise and wind reduction technology and with 5000mah huge battery it will easily run whole day without needing to charge even charging speed is great At last i want to sum up and say one thing Sony created a Top Notch Phone which caters to all audiences, Professionals and Tech Enthusiastics in all aspects you wont regret buying this you will enjoy every moment

Read a lot of reviews before purchasing and the biggest flaw of the phone was that it tended to get to hot and sometimes overheat when too much was going on at once, especially running the camera. This happened to my phone when I first got it and it was brand new, but since then they have come out with a few software updates trying to tackle that problem and I guess they got it figure out because my phone does not get anywhere near has hot has it used to. I've taken 30 to 45 minute videos with no problem. By the way, the camera quality of this phone is spectacular. The phone very fast, with outstanding screen quality, and it is probably one of the sturdiest phones I've ever owned.

The fact that sony phones are one of the only phones to still have a headphone jack, physical sim and micro sd for storage expansion is quite remarkable. The phone operates well with no problems. Besides the button layout, overall a pretty solid phone with the downside of being very expensive and geared towards individuals for content creation.

The Xperia 1 IV is the best Xperia phone I have used in several generations. Bringing back wireless charging is a plus and it works well with all three charging plates I have used. Good 5G connections, still exploring camera's capabilities/ The phone is expensive so it will not fit all budgets, but with Sony's device update cadence it should be good for several years.

Very fast phone, no bloatware, stock android even more stock than a pixel phone imo, no gimmicks, beautiful 4k screen thats flat not curved its also very bright. The speakers are very clear(cirrus logic speaker amps) not tin can sounding like iphones or galaxy. the only compromise is the price, you get headphone jack, micro sd, notification led, 2 stage camera shutter button, fingerprint scanner on power button, no NOTCH. Haptic vibration feedback is spot on ,Its the most premium feeling xperia yet. The only time mine got hot was when i setting it up the first day, after its been smooth and cool. If this phones to pricey you can the smaller brother xperia 5 iv for a much more affordable price. Definitely much improved over thr xperia 1 ii which i adored.

I'm loving the sony xperia 1 iv and I'm coming from the sony xperia 1 iii, I'm glad that it has the 5g bands that I need for the phone since I use the phone on cricket wireless. I wish there was a way to pre order the phone in the store for pickup instead delivery and I don't know what is going on with the delivery date. I pre-ordered the phone on August 26th, it says that the phone was supposed to delivered by September 1st and than it changed to September 22nd and the shipping delay was changed to October 6th and I ended up receiving the phone on October 5th. Best buy should have options for cases and screen protectors for the phone on there website that way customers have a choices to choose what type of case and screen protectors they want for the phone.

I love this phone! I upgraded from a Xperia 1 II and there were nice upgrades. The screen is brighter and the 120Hz display is amazing. Camera quality is great and I like the optical zoom feature. Battery life is okay, I'd say about average. The front-facing camera finally got a much needed upgrade from previus Xperia's. The biggest downfall of this phone is the price. I got this on sale but the full retail price is ridiculous. Overall, a good sale price is worth getting for a phone that's snappy, great camera, amazing screen and almost stock android OS.

I love this phone but it only has one issue, gets overheated sometimes when u use it but over all I love it

Excellent device. I am completely happy with the performance, camera capabilities, and awesome sound. Listening to music on this device is a joy. I have not experienced overheating, any type of glitches or slow performance. The only negative aspect of this device is the software updates; not as frequent as the competition. Android 13 has been out for a while now, and this phone is currently still running Android 12 on the October security patch. Android 13 has been released for this device, but I have yet to receive it.

Great overall phone but falls short on a few key settings, overheating, battery, but overall great.

Thoroughly impressed with this phone after months of use. I'm so glad Sony has catered to audiophiles and kept what most phones now lack; wired headphone jack and SD card storage for endless music playback. I use both wired Sony IEMs as well as Sony WH-1000XM4 & 5 and it's compatible with all codecs (APT-X, APT-X ADAPTIVE, LDAC, AAC, ETC) The sound quality from all the phones features (Which are ALOT) made me give up my high end DAPs for listening to music. DSEE Ultimate and Dolby Atmos are a really nice perk to the sound quality and make a huge difference. Not only that but Sony has even incorporated AI to upscale lower quality audio such as mp3 without having to convert or re rip at a higher quality and move to your SD card etc. It's quick and hassle free. The smoothness of the screen and reaction time is FLAWLESS. Everything is customizable. The music player is top notch and allows a lot of great custom organization perks that most music players lack however I still feel the Poweramp app (paid) really unlocks it's true potential of both sound quality and dynamics but immersion as well. Seriously though, research the phone and watch video reviews. It's worth every penny.

I do get sony phones mostly on the premise of their audio quality. And in that sense it does deliver, uplifting in any place you put it. The camera is really dynamic and nice. When you start to pressure the phone, it can get hot. Thats the biggest downside. Theres a lot of quirky and interesting things to do witht the phone. That you can see in more in depth reviews.

Great phone smooth process's wish there were more accessories

I've switched from Samsung S22 Ultra to Sony Xperia I IV, One of the best Android phones on the market comparing with S22 Ultra with poor cel signal and battery life. Excellent build quality & camera is superior quality image. Work extremely well along side Sony Alpha cameras.

Excellent phone. The display is stunning. Everything is nice and snappy. Coming from alpha cameras the menu is very familiar and using manual settings you are able to take done great photographs. The phone does heat up when shooting 4k 120 but that is somewhat expected in a small device. It's really not an issue.

Great form factor, i prefer the slimness to it. Great camera also. My complaint is the price of the device makes it hard to justify compared to Pixels and Samsung.

One of the best phones I've ever owned. Never had it in a case and it took every fall like a champ. Metal phone, no glass back, gorilla glass screen. Just a solid phone. Unfortunately Bestbuy doesnt carry these anymore and have to settle for something else. Until next time Sony
