First off, let me open with how excited I was to be chosen to review this phone based on the dynamic products that Sony, a pioneer in entertainment produces. However, I quickly deflated based on the AWFUL performance of this phone. I will elaborate on aspects of the phone’s performance that were troubling to me: Setup- After unpacking the phone which came in a standard box with a few informational packets, the phone itself, and proprietary charger, I began to setup the phone which took 3 tries. It proved to be a daunting task when trying to copy information from my Motorola phone to the Experia. Phone Calls-Initially when calling and accepting of calls, I experienced clear communications; however, today when I talked it was made known to me that communications weren’t clear. Performance-As of yesterday, there is an obtrusive interference that frequently comes in informing me that I need to update to the latest version of Android. However, I am updated to the latest version of Pie. I input my IMEI number, which informed me that I was up to date with the latest version of Pie which is 53.0.A.4.79. Apps are beginning to freeze up followed by a message that says, “Xperia isn’t responding!” Moreover, when I place the phone down, it starts to spin unrelentless! Battery life-Seemingly battery life dissipates fast on this phone. Unfortunately, the phone isn’t going through a day without needing a charge. Display-I have experienced where the display lighting goes in and out. Sometimes, it appears to be light then it will fade into darker lighting. Texting-is something that I do on a regular. Unfortunately, because of the uneven lighting, it causes problem when texting as I cannot see clearly. Youtube Videos- I was excited about viewing of Youtube videos; however, it has not been an enjoyable experience because of the obtrusive interference that comes into the phone frequently which prevents me from enjoying and/or doing things. I am going to continue to try this phone out for possibly a few more days, if an update hasn’t taken place that will vastly improve performance, then it doesn't leave any viable option, but to turn back to my Motorola G5 plus, which has served me extremely well. Needless to say, in good consumer faith, I cannot recommend this phone until a serious software update takes place that will correct these arduous problems!!

    Really Nice SmartPhone

To start I love the Slim Screen, quality and the fact it works with any carrier unlocked. The Sim card tray is delicate and could be easily broken with frequent swopping. Fingerprint sensor works good. Video in 4k is good but Pictures are sub standard. Over all this is a very cool slim smartphone.

After a couple of months the phone start doing whatever it wanted to do jump from site to site without me touching it. I could be watching something all of a sudden the object would get real big one word or picture would take up the hold screen. Calls drops all the time, I would have it on lock and it would still make calls without my knowledge. The good thing about this phone is the large size screen. Took it back and was told I couldn't get another phone 14 days was up but I could send it off and they would send me a refurbish same phone. I decided to keep this junk and deal with it till I pay it off. I feel Sony need to stick with TV.

Phone is decent a bit slow. When you are told that this phone has wifi calling for those of you in low to no service area's this is likely a lie. I am rating it as a 2 because I as assured wifi calling with it with verizon network would work and this is untrue.

I know this isn't a high end phone, noted, but you'd expect a much better quality from Sony given that this is mid range priced device. Here's why this is a low star review: You're lucky if the battery lasts you half a day with mild use. The sensor that detects if it's close to your face never works and makes your face dial random numbers or hang up on calls. No VR support and poor sensors GPS sensor is horrible and is constantly off by a significant distance and direction. Tereibly slow, even if you have a small number of apps active. Constantly crashes, forcing you to reboot the phone. The camera is horrible and slow, snap a picture and three seconds later it actually snaps it. Horrible low lighting support. Buy something else at this price.

I had terrible experience with Sony mobile few years ago and I was thinking about giving them another chance, on my own risk, and I didn't give any hope on it to be good, although I was excited as the day it arrived, and it let me down more and more as days passed. The phone got sluggish on day 3 and chrome, camera and even system UI started freezing around a week ago and for now the camera app stopped taking pictures. As said, event a 0 star is an accomplishment for this phone, and as I called sony for swapping it put for a new one, they played deaf on the phone. Shame on them, I will never buy anything again from sony.

Haven't had the phone for a year and the Sony xperia 10 plus phone won't turn on. Sony's customer service couldnt help and I had to ship the phone back to them. Maybe Best buy shouldn't sell Sony phones.
