    Die after 1 year

Let start with good about this phone. The screen is great for watching movie and video. The speaker is okay, but if you plug in headphone and turn on Sony audio app. The cons are camera, UI experience, slow, and lags. I buy this phone to replace my iPhone 7+. The camera takes horrible picture both inside and outside. I'm never a fan of Sony UI phone since my very first Sony phone. This phone launch apps much slower than my old Google Nexus tablet or Samsung Galaxy Note 3. After 3 months with the phone, it becomes useless everyday. I cannot open more than 3 apps and switch between them. And yesterday, the phone die while my son watch his show. I charge over night and will not turn on this morning. The phone only boot to Sony logo and die again.

Great phone till it worked, started having issues with touchscreen after a few updates.. touch screen started glitching. Sent twice to fix the issue, absolutely not worth it.

very bulky worst sofware update and interface ever

very bulky, brittle screen and hangs a lot. I bought thinking camera and sony as a quality is better which i still believe so but not in smartphone. No wonder experience matters and samsung, apple and huawei are better. bad battery life too which oppose it's notion of bulky. I guess they should have better software for battery optimization. Camera is not that good. Screen broke after 1 year of use by simply falling from sofa. If you have this phone please buy a good case infact a bulkier one.

    Continuous restart loops

I originally bought a used one, and assumed that's what the issue was. Best buy swapped it for a brand new phone, which I appreciated but the problem persists. All suggestions for fixes require turning the phone on, which I can't do because of the constant restarting. Apparently this is a running issue with these phones that the manufacturer has refused to actually fix. Poor purchase, I wouldn't buy one of these again

Broke in 16 days. Best buy refused to help as I had passed the 14 day return window. Sony will take up to 2 weeks to make the repair so without a phone for a while. Even the return process w Sony has been a pain. Multiple delays getting a return authorization or return label. The issue w the phone is it turns itself off regularly.

couldn't connect, 6 hours in store trying to let them fix it, but couldn't. they charged me fee to replace with working phone and that one didn't work. I was stuck with a piece of junk phone; switched back to MetroPCS for good.

    Great Phone

I waited to write this review for several months. Wanted to ensure this phone was a good as I thought. I had the XA1 Ultra and like the phone so much I bought this one. The XA1 was a bit slow, camera was a good camera but lacked stability. There were numerous small issues with the XA1 but overall I thought for the money it was a great phone. I dropped some notes to Sony about what I thought needed to be addressed, along with lots of people probably. And I just want to tell you Sony listened! The XA2 Ultra has had all of those things addressed and then some. The speed of the phone and speed of the camera is great not to mention if you take the time to learn the camera, it can take some awesome pics. The front selfie camera is just quite amazing. I can tell you for the money you pay for this phone it is one heck of a phone. I bought my wife a motoz and can tell you I should have bought her an XA2 Ultra. I am tired of hearing her gripe about her phone. When she picks up my phone she never has an issue and it she never says anything bad about my phone. So go buy this phone. I will buy the next version of this phone when it comes out. Of course I will take a look at it first, and compare it to the last one just like I did this time. But if Sony does what they did tis time, the next phone will be even better. Just like it should be. Great phone Sony! and thank you for listening.

This phone takes better pics than my iPhoneX. Good battery life but the pic quality is what’s most impressive. I’ve bought 2 of this phone so far.

    Perfect display size

Eyesight is not what it used to be so I decided to get a phone with a larger display and can read all the text without scrolling too often. Loved that it's not loaded with a lot of unnecessary software. Download what I needed and disabled the few that I didn't. Haven't tried the camera yet but if it's like my previous Xperia, I'm sure I'll be happy with the quality. The battery will last longer than a day if I'm not online often and just using it for calls/texting.

Great phone but camera is meh

So far this phone has met all my expectations except for one. the camera is pretty bad. I am coming from a Lumia 1520, which had a superb camera. Indoors the photos are terrible even with the flash. The auto mode spends A LOT of time trying to figure out what you want and often just its own thing. Trying to take macro when you don't want etc. Low light is bad. At least this one has a center mounted camera unlike the XA1 Ultra. The phone itself is snappy and quick. I haven't run into and issues with performance. Screen is nice and crisp. Sometimes the curved edge is an issue depending on how big your hands are or how you are holding it.

    Great as data only device

I purchased this "tablet" to replace dying XA1 ultra (battery charging problem) Good: It's rather fast Big 6" screen Loud speaker Not so good: No bezel. It causes a lot of mis operation especially on the right side by volume control. A case can overcome this problem So so camera under low light. It has some noise under low light condition, and it doesn't change before and after root. No VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling. It switches to UMTS (3G) when making a call. It's a non issue if you use it as data only device. Inconvenient memory card installation/removal. SIM tray is tightly attached on the cover. This means you must turn the phone off first. Regardless those shortcomings, I enjoy using the phone as tablet and it works pretty well.

Great battery life but crapy camera

This is a great phone. I like the battery life, screen size but the NOT camera. I see lots of reviews the camera is excellent. In my opinion that is not exactly correct if you are taking pictures at night or in low light setting. Also, the file size for each pic is huge when I compare the same pic on my old Samsung. I would not recommend this phone if your going to use it take pictures or selfie. I have a friend with the same phone and his phone does have the same issue with the camera. So I know it's not just my settings and I have had the phone for three months. The camera pixel is what attracted me to buy the phone.

I love my new Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is the best phone with great camera. I took the photo session for newborn baby and it was like a pro, I don't need a professional camera for that because Sony has everything I need.
