    College student needing non-Airpod bargain

I started looking into true wireless earbuds because my Apple Beats Solo 3 were ridiculously uncomfortable. The clamp was too powerful on my ears. I am starting online classes for college today (9/1/20) and I was thinking the beats would be fine for three hours. They weren't. I researched TW earbuds and the first thing I saw were Airpods and they were very much out of my college budget. They only have four hours of battery. Abysmal. Then i looked at Skullcandy, just don't do it the Indy ones may look nice but they drop it like it's hot. I looked through about seven or eight different niche earbuds website with sound snobs telling me what would be good. But they were either starting at $100 or higher. Sorry long winded but these were about $99, the sound is 8/10, the storage and portability were 10/10 and the ability to pair were glorious. Three seconds of my life and that's it. Shell out the $99 because they're cheaper than Apple, cuter than the amazon models, and you get the seven hours of battery that Apple or other models won't have without the higher price point.

    Very Good at $99 Price

For the price they are a good value. The sound quality is very good as well as earbud fit. Easy to use and the charge lasts several days. The Bluetooth pairing process is not straightforward. Anker needs to become more environmentally responsible, the packaging takes effort to breakdown for recycling.

Product is a little disappointing -- doesn't automatically switch connection between R and L if one earbud is removed, and not as sweat-resistant as I expected. But sound quality is fine and customer service was good, promptly replacing them.

Great Quality at a Great Price

Very impressed! Good sound quality, about the best I would hope for for earbuds (still suffers from lack of depth, but that's almost unavoidable with buds). Pairs quickly and surprisingly far. Companion app is great! Plays for a long time, charges very quickly. Came with a bunch of sizes of tips, which is great since I have very narrow ear canals. These are the best earbuds I have found of this type, for a really low price relatively!

I think for what I got for $90, there's nothing to complain about, but to make sure you know what you're getting, here are the negatives. The positives far outweigh this, especially compared to the price for Apple Airpods and Airpods Pro. This is after one day of using, maybe some of this will get easier. If so, I'll update my comment. - instructions are not very clear - they could use more text to explain some of the basic functions like answering calls. - switching between devices is not very easy. Would like to be connected to more than one at a time. - it would be nice for the app on your phone to tell you remaining charge on the pods. The case tells you remaining charge on the case. - the tap/hold controls on the ear pods are difficult to tell if they've responded. There's no tactile indication and there's a slight delay. - with the pods firmly inserted into ear canal, the music quality is great, and it blocks out most noise. But to talk with someone in the same room, you need to pull them out of the ear canal, slightly inconvenient. Otherwise "Why are you shouting at me??" A transparency mode would be nice, allowing you to hear things nearby when you want to. - it would be nice not to have to choose whether the ear pods buttons control music track OR volume, but not both. - difficult to switch a phone call to the ear pods if started on the phone speaker - seems difficult to restart a song from the ear pod after removing an ear pod to talk to someone, which pauses the track. - the Anker Soundcore website is not my favorite, with a Bot that is very annoying. I'd appreciate easier access to FAQ's, and if the Bot responded to common questions, at least pointing you to an FAQ answer. So far, I'm very happy, and I'll be happier if I find ways to do some of the above more easily, and if Anker improves some features through software or firmware updates and a rethinking of the Soundcore website.

    Hard to keep paired

I bought these for my husband.. and am sorry now that I didn’t spend a little more and get a better pair. When these are working, they are great ear buds. WHEN Is the problem. We have only had these 2 1/2 months and the two buds quit working together more than 5 times. It is so frustrating. Even if you follow step by step the U-tubes on pairing them.. sometimes it’s a couple days before they will work. Again. Very Frustrating. If you have the money ..spend $30.00 extra and get a pair you can rely on.

Great for listening, terrible for phone call

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These have amazing sound quality for listening to music on my phone. They do a great job at blocking out any outside noise to my ears while listening. However, I cannot use them to talk on the phone because they pick up every little background sound and magnifies it for the person with whom I’m talking. For instance, if I’m in my vehicle, driving with my windows rolled all the way up and no music going, I’ve been told it sounds like I’m in a wind tunnel. My caller can honestly tell when I stop at lights due to background noise dying down. Another example, got a call while I was at work listening to music and my daughter could hear the clicking of keyboards, the printer running down the hall and she said she could hear my co-workers conversations better than she could hear me talking. Another time, my daughter called while I was shopping at the grocery stores and she could hear the beeping of the cashiers ringing up merchandise at the front of the store. So... absolutely would not recommend if you’re purchasing for hands free phone calls. However, I would recommend them for the quality of sound while listening to music.

Thanks for your feedback! While there wil be background noise in many situations (it's nearly impossible to shut it all out), these headphones should still perform fairly well for phone calls. Try 'forget device' in your bluetooth settings on your phone and re-pairing the headphones like they were brand new. If this doesn't work, give us a call so we can look further into this with you: 800-988-7973 anker

I’ve had these ear buds for a couple of weeks. The music sounds really good, the fit is ok for my small ears. However, I wear them at the gym and even if I turn the music all the way up, I can still hear the clanking of weights and even the conversation of the ladies standing next to me. It May be due to the fit. The left side tends to loosen and even fall out. It’s probably just me. I would recommend these to a friend.

Keep in mind all bluetooth headsets have there proper encoding. Programmed into there circuits so not all audio formats are supported.so audio performance depends and the ever changing audio format that your streaming. Service is using depending on the audio format being used to play a song will produce a different audio experience. These soundcore liberty 2 wireless earbuds work very good I am very pleased with them great ambiance blocking and great monopoly mode and calls are very clear on both ends. I recommend using the sound Id on the app or if your a Samsung Galaxy user use there sound Id to tune them. You won't regret it. My only con is app opinions for custom adjustments for the side taps.and no way to do a reset on the earbuds that I know of. Funny thing is these work and sound better then the beatsX and all jbl earbuds and skullcandy earbuds I can keep going so I'll stop here.

    Great AirPods Pro Alternative

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I usually do not leave reviews, but I felt compelled to for this product. I own several Apple products and most of the time you do get great quality for the premium price you pay. With the release of the AirPods Pro, I decided it was time to go in another direction. It is important to note I am coming from the Gen 1 AirPods. On to what matters, these are awesome! For $89 these performance exceptionally well. The latest firmware update enables volume control along with other options while listening to music. Calls are incredibly clear paired when with my Pro Max. The software gives you several options to include preset equalizer settings but I recommend using HearID to create your own personalized eq settings based on your hearing abilities. The downside is that there is no "transparency mode". Also, when you wish to use them in mono removing one will pause the music and you must place it in the case to enable it in the said mode. Future updates have the potential to really make these top-notch. Overall, you will not regret purchasing these as the quality is on point and the price point is excellent.

really great but not what I needed

Let me start by saying this: this is a great little earbud set that works extremely well. I was able to pair one earbud (right ear) to my laptop and the left side to my phone (and yes, I could use them simultaneously) which was exactly what I wanted! However, I also wanted to be able to use them with Discord which turned out not to be possible - not because of these earbuds but because Discord is fickle and doesn't like bluetooth. Absolutely no idea why, but these worked absolutely perfectly for everything else. Sadly, no Discord is a deal breaker for me, so back to the store they go :(

I’d rather use my old wired earbuds!

I bought these earbuds because I read they were a more affordable alternative to AirPods. I was really excited to buy them and the packaging was beautiful and promising. But then I tried to connect them to my iPhone 8 and my heart dropped. I could only get one earbud to connect at a time. I used the app, reset the earphones multiple times, reset Bluetooth settings, and tried for almost an hour. Each time I was sure this would work. But nope. I searched online for this particular issue and found it was very common among people who purchased these. Some people only had the problem occasionally, but a great many of them had to return theirs for a replacement. I didn’t waste my time. I returned them for a full refund and I am spending only $60 more for the AirPods 2. If they had worked, I would have kept them and enjoyed them since they sound pretty good (from what I could hear out of one of them) and the design is quite nice. But I just couldn’t justify spending an hour to connect the earbuds because it was extremely frustrating. I’d honestly rather use my old wired earbuds than these. That’s how bad they are.

There are an awesome set of ear buds. It is super convenient yo use and it’s definitely very fun to listen to these. I wouldn’t suggest this for bass heavy listeners but they do a great job delivering crystal clear audio. It’s just super worth it at this price. Call quality is not super great though. Although it does a great job in noise canceling audio, but the voice gets a little muffled over calls.

-First fall they don't have the mono mode (claimed by Anker) i .e the left bud wont work without the right one. -The touch controls are the worst (same like the first version of these earbuds). -Sound/battery life are good. -For their price they are really not up to the mark.
