Anker Soundcore P25i True Wireless Earbuds Review

Introduction: I recently got my hands on the Anker Soundcore P25i True Wireless Earbuds, and I must say, they have a lot going for them. These earbuds boast impressive features and offer a decent audio experience, but they aren't without their drawbacks. Let's dive into a comprehensive review of these earbuds. Design and Build (★★★★☆): The P25i earbuds are well-designed, featuring a sleek, minimalistic look. They come in a compact charging case that easily fits in your pocket, making them highly portable. The earbuds themselves are lightweight and comfortable, ensuring a secure fit. The IPX5 rating for water resistance is a nice touch for workouts and rainy days. Audio Quality (★★★★☆): The sound quality on these earbuds is quite impressive, with clear mids and well-defined highs. Bass lovers may find it slightly lacking, but for most genres, it delivers a balanced and enjoyable listening experience. The passive noise isolation is good, and you can enjoy your music without much interference from the outside world. Connectivity and Controls (★★★★☆): The Anker Soundcore P25i earbuds use Bluetooth 5.0, ensuring a stable connection. Pairing is a breeze, and the earbuds connect quickly to your device. The touch controls are responsive, allowing you to play/pause, skip tracks, and answer calls effortlessly. However, there's a minor latency issue when watching videos, which can be a bit annoying. Battery Life (★★★★☆): One of the standout features is the battery life. These earbuds can deliver up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge, with an additional 24 hours stored in the case. This makes them perfect for long trips or all-day use. However, the lack of wireless charging is a letdown, considering it's becoming a standard feature in many wireless earbuds. Microphone Quality (★★★☆☆): The built-in microphones are passable for calls but aren't exceptional. Your voice might not be as clear to the person on the other end in noisy environments, which can be a bit frustrating during important calls. Shortcomings (★★☆☆☆):Lack of Active Noise Cancellation: The absence of ANC is a notable drawback in a world where it's increasingly common in wireless earbuds. Bulky Design: While the charging case is portable, it's a bit bulkier than some competitors, making it less convenient for slipping into tight pockets. No Custom EQ Settings: Anker does not provide any options for customizing the sound profile to your preference, limiting the audio experience. Conclusion (★★★★☆): The Anker Soundcore P25i True Wireless Earbuds have a lot going for them. With a stylish design, good sound quality, and impressive battery life, they're a compelling option. However, they do have their share of shortcomings, including the lack of active noise cancellation and some minor inconveniences. If you're not a demanding audiophile and prioritize affordability and battery life, these earbuds are worth considering, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars in our rating.

Best low-cost earbuds with premium sound!!!

Anker Soundcore is well known for producing high quality products for a really low cost. This earbud is no exception to that. In spite of such a low price, the sound quality is premium, and the battery is exceptionally good and quite comfortable to wear.
Soundcore app provides an option to choose from 22 preset sounds. Though the default soundcore preset is good enough, its great to have so many options. I personally liked “Acoustic” preset the best. With 10mm speakers, it produces a good quality sound.
Touch controls are configurable through the app. I was able to configure it to my choice to keep it consistent with the other earbuds I use. The touch area is well placed and sensitive and responds to the touch commands with ease.
This is a well-designed earbud and feels comfortable to wear even for an extended period. I personally like the earbuds with stem which has distributed weight and feels so light on the ear and feels comfortable for extended use. The mic on the stem being a bit closer to the mouth, helps during the calls. The silicon earbuds provide a good seal. This can also be used with any of the single earbud (L/R). It invokes voice assistant as well.
Bluetooth connectivity is pretty good, and it connects to the phone in an instant. The battery is solid. It lasts about 9.5 hours on a single charge and with case it provides around 30 hours of overall usage.
With 2 mics, the call quality is very good. Much of the noise is suppressed and it sounds clear at the other end of the call.
Charging port is USB-C. This does not have active noise cancellation, multipoint connectivity, and wireless charging. But for this price point, its not fair to expect any of these features.
Overall, this is an exceptionally good earbuds at such a low price. If you are looking for a low-cost earbuds without a compromise in sound quality, then look no further.

Anker P25i Earbuds -- Packed with Features

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The Anker P25i Wireless Earbuds are offer very good sound quality, long battery life, and a comfortable fit. They have a simple design and are water-resistant. The charging case is small and lightweight with an app that provides a lot of customization -- they are value rich considering the low-cost.
To me the most important feature is sound quality -- these earbuds deliver very rich sound with deep bass and clear mids and highs. This creates a much more immersive listening experience than other earbuds especially those in a similar price range. The earbuds do leak some sound so make sure you pick the right size from the options provided to limit this from occurring. This results in pretty good role of blocking out ambient noise when playing music at a moderate volume in "normal mode". There is a special noise cancelling mode if you want to block out as much outside noise as possible that works great -- this is especially useful when flying in a very loud airplane.
The earbuds come with a features including touch controls for playback, volume, and track skipping, a microphone for hands free calling, and lost of preset customization sound options through the Soundcore app. There is even a special gaming mode for reduced latency which is new to me, but a nice option if important to gamers. It also includes an option to "Find Earbuds" in case you lose one.
For runners like myself, the "transparency" mode has proven to be incredibly valuable. I love to listen to music while I run, but it's important that I am aware of my surroundings. Transparency mode gives some amplification to the outside noises so you can hear both your music and know what is happening around you. One time, I heard a car coming up on me, so when I looked over, I noticed that he was driving right through a Stop sign -- I literally banged on this person's door as I veered out of the way -- in the moment, my adrenaline had shot through the roof, but I didn't get hit --- for that reason, I will only run with Transparency mode applied, as I am certain I would have been hit if this feature wasn't available.
I love music and I'm not really sure how these compare to earbuds that cost hundreds of dollars, but for me, these hit all of the important features and are a great set of day-to-day bluetooth earbuds.

These Really Are The Ones You've Been Looking For!

At this particular price point, I have to honestly admit that I did not expect very much. I have purchased in-ear headphones before at around the same cost, and as expected they 1. Sounded horrible, and 2. Lasted only a couple of months. But the Soundcore P25i True Wireless In-Ear Headphones blew my expectations out of the water. But let me start from the beginning...
Unpacking and setup are absolutely unremarkable. And that is a very good thing. Mine arrived with over 50% charge, so there was no aggravating wait time to try them out. Setup includes an app download which was as easy and simple as it gets. I might add that it is possible to actually use these straight out of the box without the app, but trust me, you simply cannot get harvest the outstanding ability of these earbuds without the app.
The earbuds come with a storage/charging case (and small strap), with a footprint that is as small as you can get. I feel like such a small footprint is a great idea because you can stick them in your front pocket with zero discomfort. The case is lightweight, but yet seemingly durable. And quite unexpectedly, the case is equipped with magnets that snap and hold the earbuds firmly in place during storage.
After the very painless setup and app installation, it was time to see what these P25i's could do. As I started this review, I stated I did not expect very much. But after putting them on and listening to my first song, I was completely speechless! There was no way these things could sound so good, but yet they do! For pure listening comparisons, these earbuds rival even the big boys in sound quality. I can say this with authority as I own two pair of "big boy" earbud myself, and I'm not just blowing smoke. Seriously, I was stunned at what I was hearing! They just are not supposed to sound this good at this price point!
The app comes with over 20 preset equalizer settings. As I was listening to various genre music, videos and even podcasts, I tried out every single preset. I didn't really think there would be that much difference between some of them, but the differences were notable in every instance. Treble, bass, highs and lows are very discernible. At the highest volume levels, listening became uncomfortable because of the loudness. (I truly appreciate my hearing, so I tend not to listen at super high volumes). But even at the loudest, there is no distortion or garbling of the sounds. Anker states the P25i's come with 10mm drivers, which for earbuds are quite note-worthy, and they certainly handle whatever you want to throw at them. One thing I noticed is that I was unable to create a custom equalizer setting. This is a bit unusual, but then again, with over 20 different presets, there isn't much room for coming up with something unique.
I used these at work to listen to podcasts and music. I work in a warehouse, so I was curious just how far away I would be able to get before the Bluetooth began to cut in and out. Now, it isn't a huge building, but there are tons of shelves, doors and walls. Only once did I experience any type of cut out, but that was through several doors and walls. They work great at home when I am outside and doing yardwork, grilling, or whatever. And speaking of being outside, the P25i's are IPX5 Water-Resistant, so you don't have to worry too much if it starts to sprinkle, or if you get splashed watering the yard.
Are there things I would change or recommend for the Soundcore P25i's? No, not at this price point. You absolutely will not find anything that comes close to the P25i's. The sound they produce is crazy...great bass, crisp clear highs and lows, fit great in the ear (especially with the inclusion of various size ear-tips.
I can't speak much to their longevity as I have had them less than a month, but if the "apparent quality" is any indication, they will surely last quite a good while.
If you are looking for a great pair of inexpensive true-wireless earbuds that sound amazing and come with a ton of fantastic features, the Soundcore P25i's are the way to go. I am seriously recommending these to all my friends/family!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would like to present our deepest apologies for all the inconvenience.
Here are some tips for your reference:
- Turn on the Bluetooth device (such as a phone, computer, etc.), forget all the pairing records on your device, and turn off Bluetooth. - Reset the earbuds per the steps below (Make sure your earbuds have enough battery): 1. Take the earbuds out of the case. Within one minute of the earbuds powering on, tap and hold the touchpads on both earbuds for 10 seconds until you hear a notification sound. 2. Turn on the Bluetooth of the Bluetooth device again and search for soundcore R50i/P20i/P25i and pair. 3. If there is a pop-up window for you to confirm pairing for "soundcore R50i/P20i/P25i", please both select "pair". If you select "cancel" accidentally, you need to Refresh (turn off and turn on) the Bluetooth and re-pair the earbuds.
I have documented your information and would forward it to our product team for further improvement. You know, a perfect product requires several improvements per the customer's voice and we always strive to improve our products. Appreciate your voice on this!

Best budget alternative. The flat case clamp shell style is awkward to open, but the lanyard is a really nice touch. All day comfort, excellent ergonomics. The medium tips worked perfect for me and provide a good permanent seal, no need to readjust, a good seal not only blocks outside noise, but most important, a good seal means better sound quality, better base sound. These do connect to the app, but have an important limitation, no custom EQ, just the provided preset which are all very similar, and none sounded good to me. That is a huge drawback to me. These have a flat signature to them, muddy mid, rough highs and not much space or separation. But I was able to improve them with the Android Flat EQ app, unfortunately iPhone users are out of luck. These paired to the my Pixel 6A, through the Flat EQ app sound awesome, but when paired to my iPad, I have no way of making them sound better. Overall, if you can add and external EQ, these are awesome, excellent base, great sound seal. My only real complaint is battery life, these are always running out of battery, seems like I can't count of them, when I am enjoying them the most, I will get the low battery warning. Conclusion, at first sight they look like a hidden gem, but in the end you get what you paid for. No custom EQ, very short battery life, great comfort, excellent seal, stays put, no readjusting needed.

I've had dozens of pairs of ear buds at this point, both cheap and (too) expensive, and the Soundcore by Anker rank among the best I've used. When you couple that with the price and these are hard to beat.
The box is simple--a really short charging cord (USB-C ), case, earbuds and instruction pamphlet. There's not much to the instructions, but these are so simple to use you probably won't even need to look at them. Charge them, open the case, pair with your device and you're all set.
They fit well out of the box, but have a couple of additional tips in case you need a different size. They're comfortable and fit better than many that I've used. I've completed several long runs and hikes and not had to adjust them much after I've put them in, where other pairs often fall out or require readjustment many times over that same stretch.
The best features, though, are what you buy ear buds for: they sound great, hold a charge for a very long time, and don't 'unpair' randomly like so many others I've used. They have been paired every time I've gone to use them (a few dozen times so far, easily).
Overall you'll be pleasantly surprised if you pick these up thinking you're just getting a 'standby' pair, as these are as good as any pair of ear buds I've used to date.

The Soundcore P25i headphones are a solid, all around, in ear headphone. This review is based on a week of routine use, calls, music, workouts, and conference calls.
In the box are the earbuds, charging case with wrist lanyard, USB-C to USB-A charging cable, and s/m/l ear tips. Pairing is straight forward, the earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode when the case is opened and the earbuds are removed. For manual pairing, hold both earbud controls for three seconds. So far pairing has worked each time to both my Windows laptop and my Android phone.
The build is interesting for me, when I put them in using the medium tips, they feel like ear plugs with the solid seal between the tips and my ear. At first I didn't like it, but after a few hours of use I found that the snug fit means they stay in place and honestly they started to feel rather comfortable. The controls are touch based on each earbud, if only using one the features are play / pause, answer / end / reject call, and voice assistant. Using both earbuds you gain volume up / down and skip / reverse. Control touch response is as expected ~85% of the time, primarily when it doesn't work its because the tap was too short. Using the app the controls can be edited for each ear bud giving the single tap, double tap, and hold different functions for each earbud.
Using the app gives access to the equalizer settings, there are 22 preset eq sounds to include a "Soundcore Signature BassUp" which does give noticeable bass boost. Other app features are battery status, find device and a reduced latency gaming mode. There is a two other tabs in the app, one for account support and the other tab is a "Discovery" tab that includes white noise and community forums. I haven't tried these with gaming, as I prefer over the ear headphones, but I do appreciate that the option exists, making these earbuds more versatile.
Overall sound is as expected, the fit allows you to greatly reduce background noise, and the bass boost adds an unexpected depth for earbuds at this price point. Call quality is ok due to lackluster mic pickup, routine feedback on conference calls is that I sound a bit further away, but audio in is clear. Overall, I think the high points are quality sound, comfort fit, and rapid charge time in a easily portable package.

I’ve always been a little picky about the “shape” of my earbuds, tending to disregard some pairs I’ve bought simply because they don’t “feel right”, while others just work. When I opened the Soundcore by Anker P25i buds I was worried these would be in that sad pile of rejected earbuds, they’re the kind with the angled speakers and they have little stems that stick out. I don’t have a reason why the stem design bothers me, but I’ve always felt they looked silly…like someone forgot to stop after finishing the bud. I’ve also felt that angled in ear speakers don’t ever really fit correctly and I have to twist them uncomfortably to get them into a position that will both hold them in my ear and allow me to actually hear the music/podcast.
Once I put them in I relaxed, the fit is fine and the stems aren’t noticeable. Which is good since it’s such a dumb personal nit to pick anyway. Nobody but me probably cares what earbuds look like as long as they sound right. The sound they put out is quite good actually, possibly the clearest and loudest at least in recent memory (like say past five or six years). I work in an industrial environment with lots of loud droning machinery and electrical sounds which makes single earbud listening essential but also makes hearing music more difficult. With the P25i earbuds I actually turned the volume down from maximum and heard just fine. Podcasts tend to be quieter since it's talking not guitars but even the spoken word was loud enough to not require full volume at work!
Like most things these days there is an app you can download to control the sound profile of your earbuds, however it only works with both ear buds active not just one. I tried it out briefly and it’s OK, nothing mind blowing that you haven’t seen elsewhere before but handy if you’re an audiophile with specific preferences for what profile goes with which song/album/genre. I lack that refined ear so it really came down to which made the bass not too thumpy and made the vocals understandable over the instruments. You can’t tune or tweak those, just use the presets, which is kind of disappointing but probably not a big deal overall since there’s a lot of choices.
Finally, is the connection to your phone or computer. I had a REALLY hard time with this for some reason. My phone was able to see the ear buds when I took them out of their charging case but actually getting the audio to play didn’t go so smoothly. I had to put the buds back in their charge case, uncheck my bluetooth connection, then try again a couple times to get them working. It was a pain, and it hasn’t gotten easier after a week of using them either. This is the biggest fault of these earbuds but its kind of the biggest point of having earbuds, if they don’t link up to your music then it's pointless having them. If you don’t mind some trial and error then you’re going to love these earbuds I think. If you have a set and you just think maybe something new and shiny would be nice, then skip these and keep what you have.

I can’t rate these anything less than 5 stars, unless you are an audiophile these headphones are perfect. The value these present are insane.
The sound is really good, I have no issues listening to Spotify, Yt music, apple music, amazon music or any of the many other streaming services out there. Movies sound good as well for when you’re on the go. Are they blow you out of this world amazing, no, but I’m not exactly looking for that in my on-the-go headphones.
The case has a clamshell design is by far my favorite, on issue I have long term with headphones is that they start getting opened in my pocket as the hinge wears out a little and becomes easier to open. Clamshells fix that as they are securely clamped shut due to the pressure between my leg and jeans.
I have an iPhone and Galaxy that are decently new, these work great with both, they have become my go to on the iPhone now because of the clamshell design and my old pods have been sitting on my desk, which is kind of crazy seeing the price difference.
The battery life is awesome, for the size of the container I am shocked, usually headphones sacrifice on the size of the case in the value category and while this case is a tiny bit bigger it’s not enough for me to be a problem.
The Bluetooth range is good, and it passed the back pocket test on a few different phones which is almost more important than for them to work across the house, which they can.
Buds are independent of each other, so you can use one then the other if your of a mind.
Microphone quality was pretty good, everyone could hear me clearly on phone calls and team calls.
The only issue is the fit, one of my ears is a little weird shaped and it stays in but not under heavy pressure, I’ve only ever met one earbud that stays in amazingly so take this with a grain of salt, they stay in better than air buds but worse than galaxy bud pros on my ears, my wife loves air buds (no the pro ones) so this is definitely a user thing, but there were a couple tip sizes to customize to your ear.
All in all, I love these awesome headphones and would definitely recommend them.
Pros:
USB C charging
Clamshell design
Battery life
Case size is smaller
Good music quality
Strong Bluetooth connection
Independent ear bud functionality
Cons:
Fit isn’t 100% snug for me ( not the worst, but not the best for my ears which are weird shaped)

These earbuds are phenomenal sounding for the price you pay. It's even $5 off during Father's Day deals. The snuggy fit gives you a full day comfort. The ear tips or those tiby silicone cups came with these buds are a great fit for my ears. The Soundcore app gives you EQs options to fit sound for your like. Somebody stated that these sound better than most 200 bucks buds, and I'm completely agree with that reviewer. I used Bose, JBL, Sony and other brands, but these produce sound similar to those experiences. I would say if Soundcore gives custom option to set an EQ would be even better. However, I can't find any flaws. Go for it and you won't regret. I personally don't like the Noise Cancelling since I need to be aware of surroundings, many manufacturers give options to disable noise cancelling but I had to turn then off every time I put them on, hence Noise cancelling is not for me! I used heavily the Bose Soundsport Free earbuds which are best sounding with maximum music instruments separation which Love the best! They are big and comfortable for my ears, however, these are great if I compare these with Bose Soundsport Free earbuds. Touch controls are alright but disabled them since I am a very normal user without needing bells and whistles. Anyway, thanks for reading reviews and you will definitely love these earbuds! Go for it! White color is subtle yet having its own personality IMO. Good Luck and Happy Father's Day you all great dads!

These earbuds were a great find. I have many pairs of earbuds, including AirPod Pro 2 and some great EarFun buds. I bought these for casual, knock around use. They may be the most comfortable earbuds that I own - they are light and they fit well. Sound is not as good as expensive earbuds, but the sound is good and balanced. Really great value. And much better than Soundcore’s own p20i.

I have owned many different accessories and devices from Anker but this was the first pair of earbuds or headphones that I have tried from them. Overall I was very impressed with the quality of these earbuds and really like the fact that the carrying case comes with a strap to help avoid dropping them. My oldest daughter tends to drop her earbud cases a lot so I got these with the intention of giving them to her to try to allow her to not break them as quickly.
After testing them out though I'm not so sure I want to give them to her. I was very surprised by just how clean and clear the audio was as well as the bass. The deep bass surprised me as I have yet to have a pair of earbuds reproduce such good lows. So far the battery has not been an issue and installing and setting up the app was very quick. The app offers multiple different preset EQs based on the type of music you will be listening to or whatever media you will be listening to with them.
The only complaint I have is finding the most comfortable position for them in my ears. I am sure this is just me and the shape of my ears but it took me a few different positions until I found one that was most comfortable. I have worked out with them as well as done yard work outside and never once have they fallen out or gotten loose to where I was afraid they were going to fall out. Once in my ear and in a good position they are very secure and do not feel as though they are going to fall out.
Overall a great set of earbuds from a great company.

Anker is a dependable brand. I have been using their chargers and power banks. This is the first time I got their headphones. And I am not disappointed.
For the retail price of under 30$, I think they are a pretty good deal.
The box contains a clam-shell charging case, 2 ear buds, extra ear-tips (for different ear sizes), a USB-C charging cable and a quick start guide. The usual stuff.
The build quality of the earphones and case is decent. The buds when put in the case stick to charging points with some kind of magnet so its easy to put them in. The case is small and pretty light and you can toss it in your backpack, laptop bag or even in your pocket.
I would recommend that you must download the soundcore app to get the best value out of them. The app allows you to customize the touch controls on the buds. It also has some preset EQ modes to change the sound as per the type of the music or your preference. There is a gaming mode which I didn't use so can't say anything about that.
The sound quality is good specially for the price. The call quality is good too and even though they don't have noise cancellation the people on the other end were able to hear me loud and clear.
The advertised battery life is 30 hours but I haven't really tested the claim. I usually do 2-3 hours of listening at a time and then plug them in. So far, they have never run out of battery for me.
So overall, if you are on a budget and not an audiophile, you can't go wrong with them.
