I'll echo the other reviews left for this product. I don't know what it is about this particular color, but something failed in the manufacturing and quality control process. I have the exact same case in red and I absolutely love it! It fits perfectly, functions perfectly, protects, looks great, and feels great too! So when I saw this grey/blue color was on sale, I bought it thinking I'd have two identical fantastic cases in different colors. I was so wrong. With the grey case, the power button just doesn't line up. I'm not sure whether it's off on the X or Y axis, but the case's power button does not make proper contact with the phone's power button. Instead, the case permanently depresses the phone's power button, leading to a power loop. If you can manage to disengage the case from pressing against the power button, fantastic... except you now have no way of pressing the phone's power button because the case's power button still does not make functional contact. I've tried the "squeeze the case around the phone" suggestion that Speck recommends in their replies to customer reviews on their website. All that did was cause my phone to enter S.O.S. mode! No matter what I did, I simply could not get this case to function the same as the allegedly-identical red version I have. Because it was a great deal and because I loved the color, I emailed Speck customer service before returning the product to Best Buy to see if they would send a replacement. A week went by, and no response. I then took to social media to reach out to them... again, no response. Speck clearly knows the product is a dud and would prefer I just return it to the store, I guess. So that's what I did. BBY accepted the return, no problems. I hate leaving 1- or 5-star reviews as I believe it dilutes the reliability of the rating average, but in this situation, I had no choice. The color is great, the material is fantastic, but I couldn't rate this product anything above a 1-star because it could not perform its core function as a case without disabling access to the power button. The fact that Speck customer service completely failed is just anecdotal and didn't affect the rating of the product.

i bought this case because i love the speck brand. had a nice feel to it and it was a great looking case. im sure the it would protect the phone just like any other speck case that ive gotten. only thing was that the power button wouldnt work. it looks like the tab inside just didnt align with the power button on my iphone 7 plus. it was either too long or it just wasnt on top of the button. i couldnt get a response when trying to press the button lightly. when i press it hard, it would be like pressing on it to where you want to shut the phone off. but if i press a little towards the front of the button, then it would work. the other buttons worked fine. just not the power button. too bad because that case looks and feels great, but just that darn power button ruined it.

I love the look of it! Feels great in the hand, too. The material started tearing the same month I bought it. I've had it for 3 months now and it has rips on EVERY corner. Yes, I've dropped it a couple of times, but isn't that to be expected? The only reason I gave 2 stars is because my iphone 8 plus didn't break when I dropped it.

So disappointed! Bought this because of the brand name being well known and I thought good. Case started separating 2 weeks after I got it. Took too long to replace and I dropped my phone in the case. It cracked my screen all the way across. :( I have always went with well known brands to protect my phone, so I was surprised and super disappointed in the protection. Especially, since I loved the look and feel of the case.

I should've listened to the negative reviews--this case just doesn't work for an iPhone 8+. It would be great otherwise.
