great case

It was a little tough to get snapped on all the way, but persistence won out and it really feels like part of the system.The only negative is the right hand back corner was a small enough piece that it broke off. Doesn't seem to affect the case at all, but that was a little annoying.

The black color helps downplay the fact that I've got an expensive Apple computer, instead of just another Windows clone.

I hate to write a negative review...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's tough to get a product built and into the market, so I hope this negative review will help Speck get it right re. their shell casing. I have had 3 cases, one purchased and 2 replacements. The grips that hold the base of my Macbook into the bottom piece of the casing break off after minimal use, then the bottom casing won't stay on. 3 times... I give the product 2 stars instead of zero because I did drop my computer on the corner that was protected by the top piece only, after the 3rd bottom had failed, and the shell saved it from damage. However, lost time and logistics could also have been saved by a product that held up in the first place.

nice case for the money

The investment paid off as while on the plane someone spilled some coffee on it. luckily the lid was shut and it was not a large spill so the coffee sat on the case just long enough for me to wipe it off. The case did what its job and has been on my computer for a little over a month now.
