I've only had this laptop for two weeks but so far I'm not happy with it. I didn't notice before I bought it that it had only one port. I like to use a mouse so I need the port for that. But I have a flash drive that I work from every day so there isn't a port for that if I use the mouse. It also makes noise when it's used. I can't tell if it's something to maybe keep it cool but it comes on then goes off, comes on and goes off, comes on and goes off. The salesman said it's the top of the line for HP but I don't think so! And I wish I hadn't bought this one.

Everything works fine except I have issues with the touchpad. Cursor jumps all over the place. Feels like I’ve downgraded from my older MacBook Pro.

I didn’t like because it was a little bit dirty and it had a very weird setting in the hard disk. Unfortunately I returned it. I am sure they can solve this problem but the device is wonderful

Less then 30 days in , the webcam don’t work. I’ve called geek squad several times about a malfunction on this laptop. Now this. I had to take it into the store and leave it. I work from home so I had to purchase another laptop just to get by while they keep mines. Now I have to pay more money to back up my files before they send it out. NOT SATISFIED. Not to mention when I call HP directly I’ve been transferred 3 times, finally get to a spectra specialist and he hung up.

    Reliability Issue

I purchased the 2018 model of this laptop in April of 2018. Everything worked well. Totally met my needs. At the 17 month mark, the computer died. No power. Sent in for repair. The motherboard had to be replaced at my expense. Not the reliability I expected when buying a premier laptop by HP. I did purchase this new 2019 version of this same computer on 9/21/19 and am hoping that reliability issues have been corrected.

HP did a great job with the looks of this laptop...not so great with the cooling system design. The fan is always running. I sent it to HP for them to fix it, but all they did was replace the fan, and did not fixed the overheating issue. Cooling tweaks and HP's Command Center settings do not help much.

When i girst got it i loved it but within two weeks i almost was afraid to touch it. Anytime i picked it up it felt like the screen was cracking. I needed the camera for school and the computer was saying there was no camera when obviously there was one built into in and it was turned on. Not impressed. Returning.

difficult transition from HP Vista Pavilon dv2000 to HP Spectre x360 2-in-1. Returned product....will most likely purchase a computer with a monitor rather than a laptop.

3 hours installing software and getting it set up and then about 3 hours of actual usage over a month and a half. Now it is dead and all my work was lost. Computer was only used as a tablet once to see how it worked, and was never moved from a table where it was placed. No bumps or rough play, just gentle key strokes. $1,500 paperweight. I’m very upset about this. Really hp? A $1,500 computer that only works for 6 hours before dying. I’m not even getting blue screens of death!!

I wanted to love this laptop, but I can't. It has some kind of internal flaw causing it to crash on a daily basis (sometimes multiple times a day). Have had it to Geek Squad and have had others look at it and cannot find the source of the crashing. I finally had to retire it and just use it as a back up computer.

It is a good laptop for cs students , the screen quality is awesome. I bought this in 2019 and still using it in 2024 and I don't find any performance related issue till now.

This is a $1500 computer and it has more glitches and problems than my $400 hp computer did. Every single day I use this, I wish I would’ve just got a Mac or something. I don’t understand why it has so many positive reviews. It is complete garbage so don’t waste your money

Glitches across every operation. Cursor constantly disappears and freezes. Next to no processing power with constant freezing and program crashing during simplest tasks. Extremely dim screen. Almost no drawing and pen functionality. Constant pen and drawing glitches. Sad!

For the price I think it would have been a faster processor than 1.8Ghz. It can boost to 3.3 but its idle speed causes major lag and jitter when multitasking. 4k screen but its irrelevant because it takes a minute for chrome or firefox to open.
