Completely fried motherboard and drive; just out of warranty. What a loss and stressor after paying so much for this computer and then not being able to use it for a few years. Awful!

I'm in my 4th year of using this laptop. All is good Except.... It gets HOT on the bottom. I think one of the fans died early on. The touch pad is VERY hard to press so I use an external mouse. The touch pad bowed from heat I imagine. I noticed that happening in HPs in the past few years. I bought this one hoping for it to last at least 5 years. At this point, ever day it doesnt die is a good day.

    Really Solid Laptop

I got this laptop one month ago just as this configuration became available. I had a Dell XPS 13 which was giving me constant trouble. Really fast with excellent display. I like the keypad and touchpad. The fingerprint sign in is reliable and convenient. Wi-Fi connectivity is excellent. Speakers are very good for a computer. The previous comment about the keypad backlight timing out is correct but the backlight turns back on upon touching the keypad. I imagine it is configured this way to prolong battery life. Battery life is a bit short- likely because of its excellent 4K display. Currently it lasts about 5 hours of run time on a single charge. If you need longer battery life a 1080 display would be a better choice.Have not called HP support so I cannot comment on their support. The sales staff at Best Buy was excellent. They did a price match without any difficulty. Would certainly buy this computer again.

I bought this for my fashion design program. I needed this for both writing papers and to use for art programs. I am very happy with it. It is beautiful. The keyboard is very nice. It runs well. Built very solidly.

    Great Laptop BUT had defect

This computer was amazing but I am only giving it 3 stars based solely on the blue screen of death issue I was receiving since I purchased it. Diagnostics could not detect the issue. Otherwise, this would have been a keeper. I will still buy Spectre but only with warranties to avoid this potential issue in the future

    I wouldn't recommend an HP.

I have a Spectre 360. The keyboard is not very sensitive, you have to press hard or it will skip keys. The left and right arrows are difficult to operate. Recently, the laptop no longer can recognize my Epson printer in the wireless mode. I had purchased extended care which provides technical support and hardware replacement, but, I find out now, not software support. So I need to spend $49 to fix my problem after I already purchased an extra warrantee. The only reason I upgraded from my Dell was to get a wireless that picked up both 5gb and 2.4 gb, but it doesn't automatically changeover anyway. Plus, HP support really gives you the runaround.

    Multiple Issues with Sound

I've had my Spectre for less than a year and still under warranty and premium support. I'm now dealing with my second round of completely loosing audio. I believe this is related to Windows compatibility issues. Tech support has been extremely slow...takes about a half a day to resolve. Would not recommend. Audio seems like a pretty basic function. Windows compatibility seems like a minimum bar. More aggravation than it's worth.

This is a common problem. Google it. It freezes and then take 3 to 8 times to power on. Simply turning on this laptop can take 15 minutes. If you a trying to meet deadlines, you can guarantee that this laptop will make you miss it. Hate...this laptop. I need technology to work on demand. I have 15 minutes between patients to get notes written. This laptop is a fail!!!!
