It looks great overall, more like a fancy add-on accessories for yourself to sit at Starbucks. However, it's super uncomfortable for long time use due to its sharp edges around the keyboard and mouse pad area.

Beautiful Laptop with the heat problem. I bought it for my daughter in college but she states it was having an overheating problem. It was freezing and Bluetooth kept disconnecting. So she bought a MacBook Pro to replace it. We end up returning it back to Bestbuy after 9 days.

The computer looked amazing. However with less than 200 hours on it over the last 2 years it began to have issues with not turning on. Needing a hard software update which had to be done by a computer tech to make it turn on and eventually the power input quit. I have had nothing but issues with his computer and its impossible to do any warranty fix after a year. Sad to purchase a beautiful machine that is expensive only to find out its a pice of crap.

Last 13 months - BUYER BEWARE!

This laptop is nonfunctional 13 months after it was purchased. The port does not recognize the charger. It will not charge. The laptop cannot be charged, does not turn on, and is useless. The manufacturers warranty expired 1/13/20. The laptop quit charging 2/22/20. DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP. Maybe buy no laptops at Best But. This is my FIFTH and LAST laptop purchased from Best Buy. It is my FOURTH and LAST HP laptop. I have had a Sony and 3 HP’s from Best Buy. I am not hard on laptops. They went to graduate school, were used for classes, and fitness work. I purchased the black tie protection for the first 3. Two of the laptops were bought within 6 months of each other, and I do not recall if it was the Sony or HP first. HP/Sony 1 had motherboard or hard drive failure after 6 months, had to be sent out of state for 4-6+ weeks, and I could only hope they could recover some of my work. Sony/HP #1 was bought. I had to have a laptop for grad school and fitness while I waited for laptop #1 to be repaired out of state. The second laptop had a motherboard or hard drive failure within 6-12 months. Since they both crashed, it is hard to recall which was which, regardless, it was not ideal. The third HP I bought did not stay connected to the internet. Ever from day 1. I had black tie but they insisted it was software, was not covered by my Black Tie warranty, and I had to pay more money for additional work on the laptop. I declined, called HP, did a diagnostic as directed over the phone, HP determined it was a hardware issue, mailed me to part, and I fixed it myself. I need my laptop, cannot afford to replace it, and do not have more options. 3 out of 4 HP laptops were lemons and ALL 4 out of 4 laptops bought at Best Buy had major failure.

This is a nice sleek computer but the build quality seems to be poor. Like my last Spectre, it's coming apart just by opening and closing it over the course of a year or so.

I bought it for the 2-1 feature to illustrate on. It does not keep up and then stalls and you have to restart. Not good for doing a lot of drawing of graphics.

I really liked this computer. BUT...... within the first month or so it just stopped working. Wouldn’t turn on or anything. I sent it out and they said the motherboard was toast. They replaced it and sent it back. After a while a similar issue happened but I was able to fix it at home and move on. Then now just before I get to the 2 year mark of owning it it shuts down again with another mother board issue. I took extremely good care of it. Always took care of it. When it crashed this last time I was teleworking with it, which is just being ok Microsoft teams and checking in periodically, it went to sleep. When I went to turn it on for a meeting it wouldn’t turn back on but flashed a code. Checked the code, did the steps I was told on HPs websites. Nothing worked. I got someone who is way more computer savvy to check it out and then the lights wouldn’t even turn on. Everything is in place in it, was never dropped, nothing was ever spilled on it, it was kept on proper things to keep from heating up to much, never used it for anything that would work it to much. There is no excuse for this... Now I’m out $1500 and needs to buy a new computer.

I'm so glad I didn't rule out the HP Spectre 360!

I did a great amount of research beforehand on the type of 2-1 laptop I wanted to buy. Checked the reviews by customers, by so-called experts as well but ultimately I wanted to be the one to decide what was best for me. I was willing to sacrifice a 4 GB vs. 2 GB memory graphics card, for better battery performance, and I have to say that my HP Spectre shines in that area. In the three days that I've had my notebook, I've gotten up to 11 hours of battery time, and I still had 38% more to go, which to me is phenomenal. Netflix, emails, YouTube videos, ran Office Suite--iTunes, played some online games, you name it, I was running it and then I let it sit for awhile. My Spectre has a decent 15.6 screen, great speed, quality audio, ease of use on the touch-screen, not to mention 16 GB of memory and 512 SSD, 6-cell battery. This machine came with a pen as well. Before I purchased the HP Spectre 360, I had tried the Dell XPS, 2-1, 15.6 laptop--gorgeous screen/graphics. The specs were great but the battery only lasted 5 hours and for a new machine that boasted up to 10 hours battery! Not acceptable for a 6-cell battery. And it wasn't holding its charge. After all the updating, Cortana stopped working--gave me the silent treatment! I don't need these headaches; and I don't need Office 365 or McAfee with the option to buy after the trial period; I'll download my own programs, thank you very much! I prefer Bitdefender as my antivirus program anyway. I have noticed, though, that there is less bloatware on these machines of late. Fine by me! Then I tried the Lenovo Yoga 720, 2-1, 15.6, 6 cell battery--only got 5 hours of battery time, and a fan that would continuously run, which bothered me. And in no way was I going to make changes in the Bios. You start messing with that and you'll have problems from then on. The Yoga had great graphics, nice speed, nice audio but as I said, I'm particular. If I'm going to spend good money then I want a machine that will deliver. The MacBook Pro, sure it's top of the line, but I didn't like the keyboard period, and it's much too expensive. I prefer Windows-based machines anyway. Microsoft Surface looked good but some of the specs didn't impress me plus it was a screen size of 13.3 and I wanted 15.6. The cost was way too expensive for a smaller machine. I looked into an ASUS Vivo-Book, same thing, which I almost purchased but that machine was returned by another customer after having it for two-weeks. So I was leery about that. ASUS had 512 SSD plus 1TB of Hard Drive. Sounds impressive but eventually hard drives will become a thing of the past. So I'm immensely happy with my decision in getting the HP Spectre. So far, everything about it is impressive. Experts may not consider the HP Spectre the best of the best, but at this point in time, I do! HP all the way! So short story long, the Fingerprint and/or pin access to log on is okay. The fingerprint usually works but when it doesn't, l key in my pin number. The Spectre has the best backlit keyboard I've ever encountered and you can turn it off, too, to save battery power. My laptop's color is dark ash silver--which is somewhat classy but kind of drab--looks more gray to me. No big deal. To turn on the machine you have to use the button situated on the left side, unusual but okay. The adapter has a cylindrical connector and the charging time on that is pretty good. Pretty much all of the specs are right up my alley! It meets all my needs and that is what is important. This machine was not cheap either, but I got a pretty good deal at Best Buy. In that vein, I'd like to give a shout out to Kyle, one of the Customer Service Agents, who was such a big help to me--he was patient, personable, professional, understanding, and respectful of my technological needs! A+ rating all around!!

I haven’t had this HP longer than 14 days and can honestly say...I plan to return it. The keys occasionally stick (no I didn’t spill anything on it) and just operating it is a headache.
