I loved Splatoon 1, and now I can finally confirm that the sequel does not disappoint. Looks great in 1080P. Really fun gameplay..it's super satisfying making the whole world messy with ink. Love playing online, although I wish two people could play online at the same time from one Switch system. A small gripe though, and doesn't detract from my recommendation of this game!

If you missed out on Splatoon 1 originally on Wii U back in 2015. Or were like myself and skeptical of how well it would be received. Fret not, dear buyer because this is very similar sequel to that very popular game. It looks great and feels very good to control. And it does a good job of not making you feel like you need to play the first one. And it’s a game that’s great for all skill levels. Whether your a seasoned veteran with shooters. Or just looking for something that is very different from the norm. This title is worth checking out!

Splatoon 2, is a lot of fun; the main-mode (turf war) is great and there's a lot of strategy involved. The best part of the game is the newly introduced Salmon Run. This mode teams you up with 3 other players to battle waves of Salmon in order to steal their eggs, it's really great and challenging. The single-player campaign is good, but the multi-player is the reason to buy this game.

I haven't spent much time playing this game due to investing most of my free time in Zelda but what little I did play felt just like Splatoon 1 which is a fantastic game. This game felt similar and almost just like an extension of the first game. I love when sequels feel like you're still playing the original game and this one handled that flawlessly while adding nice and new touches.

I'm not a huge gamer but I've played Nintendo consoles since NES came out. Splatoon 2 is really addicting and is seriously intense - it can also make you pretty salty. There are lots of different types of game modes to play online with others or single-player mode. It's in my Switch about 90% of the time. If I'm not playing this, I'm playing Breath of the Wild.

Fun action packed multiplayer shooter with an engaging single player campaign.

This is a great multiplayer game. Its also has a fantastic single player mode.

If you loved the first game, you'll love this one too. The controls take a bit to get used to, but the motion controls are very responsive and the online battles are a ton of fun. There's also a single player campaign if that's more your style. You'll each need your own copy if you want to play with friends though. Overall a great game, and I would recommend it to everyone.

I spent over 2k hours on Splatoon 1 and I expect to do the same for this sequel. They added a bunch of new amazing content, like salmon run and new weapons/stages. They also balanced a lot of the game play, which is great if you like competitive. If you liked the first game, you'll love the second just as much, if not much more. And if you didn't play the first game, try it out!

Family oriented game for all ages specially for small children, very entertaining and good graphic quality

Purchased at my 8 year old’s insistence - he loves the game - and I am enjoying playing it as well. Wish it had local multiplayer modes (only supports one player on Switch, can play in groups online), but otherwise game is quick to learn/start playing, and (based on my flailings in online games) will take some time if want to get good at it.

When I first started up some online matches, this game was an exercise in frustration. I thought it was the worst game ever. But I stick with it for a few more rounds. Once I leveled up and was able to upgrade my gear, I was not only able to contend but I was also the winner. I was hooked. This is as good as everyone has said. This is the second must own game after Zelda.

This game has been more fun than I expected. To the point - I gave it 4 stars because I didn't realize ahead of time that you can't play multiplayer on the same switch. You can play local multiplayer but it requires a second switch. That being said, this game is simple enough that my 5 year old enjoys jumping online and playing, and there is enough strategy and skill required that I enjoy it as well. The clothes you wear gives you certain power ups in game, lots of gun choices to buy. Fun game - definitely would buy again.

I hadn't had the chance to play Splatoon at all, so this is my first time playing, but it surprised me in its ability to be fun, but also frustratingly difficult (in a good way!). Playing online is always a battle, but it is always one that is fun and, while challenging, keeps making me go back for just another match. Wouldn't recommend for the easily angered! :P

My grand children and I love playing this game. There’s so many killing games out there, that this is refreshing that they’re playing paint balling and having a blast. I would recommend this game to any person who would like a friendly fun game that the whole family can get involved with.

I don't normally like multiplayer games, but this one is extremely fun. It's easy for anyone to pick up and play while still not lacking in depth. The lack of voice chat helps to keep out the more irritating aspects of the online gamer crowd as well. This game may be rendered obsolete soon with Splatoon 3 on the way in a few year. But it's worth getting now if you've never played it before. Strong recommendation.

Excellent for times with kids. A learning curve but unique.

Splatoon 2 is a solid fun new take on your average shooter genre. It's great and worth the purchase. So let me just hit the few negatives. Make it easier to play with friends and chat. This is more of a switch system level update needed. And salmon run is awesome! Let me play it when I WANT!!!! But all in all Nintendo is killing it with the switch releases so far.

This game is a lot of fun and there is a bit of a learning curve but I love the colors and how bright it is and the gameplay is enjoyable. Great for individual or multiplayer. One thing I'd like to note to vertigo or motion sickness sufferers. I became quite nauseous and was like that for a while after playing for the first time. I think if you're susceptible or suffer from this kind of thing there is a chance of this happening. I was fine the next time around because I turned off motion control. All in all, it's a fun game.
