Splatoon 2 is the main reason to use Nintendo's online services. This is a fast-paced, colorful, and all-around fun game for people of all ages. It's addicting, satisfying, and easy to learn without the usual problems of other online multiplayer shooters (e.g., steep learning curve).

Great sequel to the original, but just like the original, it gets kind of repetitive after a while.

If you've played Splatoon on Wii U, then you already know what you're getting into. It's more of the same with the addition of a hoard mode, but that's not a bad thing. The single player content is still great (content isn't locked with Amiibo this time) and multiplayer is still a blast.

This game is fantastic. It looks great and handles well on both the joycons and pro controller. It's awesome to be able to play a shooter with the kids where you don't have to kill something. In fact, you could literally shoot at the ground the whole game and do more for your team.

Splatoon 2 is full of personality and looks and sounds great. Its online Turf War mode is highly addictive and its character customization options add depth and flare. My only disappointment is that local multiplayer requires another console and game. There is no split screen option. However, I do not regret my purchase and would recommend this game to any discerning Switch owner looking to add only the best games to their library.

Splatoon 2 is a fun relaxing multiplayer shooter with an oddball story and cast of characters.

This is a very fun and addicting video game, especially for those gamers who love online and coop play! The storyline is neat and the gameplay is will keep you playing for hours. Characters are customizable and a variety of weapons at your disposal, all offering unique abilities.

My son loved this game. He is 8 years old and is having a blast with it. The graphics are real bright and fun. It is a great Nintendo game. If your kids love all the Mario Bros. games, they will love this one. 5 stars!!

Tons of fun!! Enjoy it more than most online shooters I've played. Just plain old, crazy, dum fun!

I've played this for a few hours and it's fun so far but the motion controls aren't very good. And after you finish the main story, the only thing to do is play online. So if that's not your thing then you might want to pass on buying this. Also, there's no 2 player local co-op which is ridiculous. Hopefully Nintendo pastches that in the future.

Splatoon is one of the best switch games thus far. Best shooter on the console by far.

I absolutely love this game! I was worried it would be kind of boring, but I am so glad I purchased it!! I tend to only play multiplayer games, but I find that this is still a ton of fun to play single player.

Splatoon 2 is a great upgrade from Splatoon 1. Salmon Run is very fun with friends and new weapons/maps are great. Nintendo still needs to make playing with friends much better and single player campaign is pretty boring. But multiplayer is outstanding. Must buy for any Switch owner.

Didn't play the first Splatoon game, but I'm enjoying this game a lot. I recommend it to everyone.

Splatoon 2 is the first major game for the Switch that relies on online multiplayer. The gameplay is great, matchmaking is fast, and the smartphone app that goes with it shows good promise. There is a single player campaign, and although it is kind of short, gives the game good playability when wifi is not available. My only gripe is no splitscreen multiplayer, but with Nintendo's push for online play, it is understandable.
