Nephews loved the original Splatoon. How do I know? They borrowed my copy three days after I bought and I never got it back! Talking to people who have already played this (won't get a chance until Christmas) it sounds like this is just an upgraded version of the WiiU game, but I'm okay with that, and am sure my nephews will be as well.

Great game for children 9+. It will keep them entertained for hours. There's several strategies, but the user will become engrossed. It will make a great Christmas gift!

I never played The first Splatoon, but decided to give this one a try after the Splatoon series continued to get good press. I am not disappointed. A fresh take on competitive online play with a lot of additional content.

Splatoon 2 is some of the most pure fun you can have on any gaming system. Incredible style, fantastic music, and a constant stream of free updates make this a must have. The flawless online experience doesn't hurt either

Fun game that's pretty much like the first one. Pick it up.

Very fun shooting game for kids and adults. Highly addicting, a lot of maps, and very colorful. The only wish I have is if only it could've been a two player game... other than that I have no complaints.

The gameplay is wondeful, art style fun to look at, and great music. Nintendo needs to add group making and voice chat on the Switch and not through some app. It would easily be 5 star with those additons and allowing loadput changes during matchmaking. Please make these changes and join the rest of the world with easy grouping/voice chat!

Better than the first one. And more color to splash around.

At first, I couldn't get into it. The controls were tough and the single player mode was a little boring. But the game opened up for me after hitting level 8 in multiplayer. I'm having a blast with all of the game modes.

My son got this for his birthday and he plays it all the time! He loves it! I just wish that it had more than one player option. Would still highly recommend!

Really enjoy the game, missing split screen for local coop

Initially, I had bought Arms hoping it would be the "fun" game for the Switch, but Splatoon 2 is easily fits that bill. Easy to learn, easy to play, and addictive! Definitely should be part of any Switch owner's library.

Great game fun to play and even more cool paint shooters

Bought this game for the kids and they both really love it. They enjoy it more than the first one. The controls using the Joycons make aiming and moving easier than the WiiU tablet, which is a big plus for this game.
