Never played the first game, but tried this out during the first test fire and really enjoyed it. The single player is decent, but it really shines when online and playing against strangers.

my grandson loves the game however if you don't already have online Nintendo account which is only $20 a year you will need one to play this game

This game is primarily a multiplayer game. It does however, have a single player mode that you can play if you're a completionist. The story mode in my opinion is a bit boring but it's neat that Nintendo once again threw in something to make this game not jsut be multiplayer. Though the majority of your time will be on multiplayer. The multiplayer is fun and there are a lot of customization options for you to choose from. You can either go for being stylish or for having the best abilities thatll suit your needs. Its a fun game that anyone of any age can pick up and play thanks to motion used for aiming (which can be turned off if you favor using the joysticks)

Would recommend if you are looking for a different Nintendo experience. Very creative game and the graphics look amazing for a switch title.

I didn’t think this game would hold my attention for long but I decided to give it a try. This game blew me away as to how much fun it was. It took me away from BOTW for a good two weeks

Lots of wacky fun with paint going everywhere. Nintendo keeps on making good quality games and this one is no different. I would recommend it

One of the games that you at least need to try if you have a Switch. Addictive, creative and fun. Sorry this review is so short, but I wrote it in between rounds so gotta go

Splatoon 2 is an amazing game full of charm, humor, deep weapon customizations,and free DLC updates for a year. If you have played the original you'll be pleased to know that Turf Wars are back and are as fun as they have ever been. A new mode to this game is Salmon Run. Similar to Call of Duty Zombie mode, Salmon run puts you against various creatures as you and 3 others shoot to stay alive. This new mode is addicting and gives you exclusive gear and rewards. Overall Splatoon 2 is an amazing sequel that improves upon the original with the addition of Salmon Run, a new story mode, and new weapons and gear. This is an essential purchase for any Nintendo Switch owner.

I bought this game with two other friends, it will be better if you have a four people team. The PVE salmon run is quite fun. I'm bad at controller aiming but motion control is different.

A fun and addicting game, however, (local) multiplayer is severely lacking. No split screen multiplayer available. If you want to play with someone locally, they have to have their own switch and their own copy of the game. And (I believe) even then you are not guaranteed to be on the same team.

This game is great! It plays great and there’s a lot to do with a lot of replay ability. I like the levels and the mechanisms and they improved from the first game.

excellent game to add to the Switch arsenal. They are constantly release free DLC and adding to the excellent value of the game. Online play provides endless hours of fun. MUST BUY!!!

I never played the first splatoon. After watching videos I decided to get it and boy did I make the right decision. I absolutely love this game. One of the best games for the switch.

What a great and fun title. Multiplayer is the focus of this game with a introduction as the career mode. But all in all, this game satisfies the need for a 4v4 battle with other people.

I never played the first splatoon so I can't speak to it being better/different from the first one but it's a really fun game and my 5 year old gets a kick out of turning into a squid

Never had Splatoon but heard so many good things on it I decided to give it a try and I have to say it's one of my favorite games. Really enjoy the characters and the online game play

This is the silly, fun kind of game only Nintendo could make, and get right. It looks gorgeous and plays really well. Definitely worth the money, with a new expansion to boot.

Splatoon 2 is a fun and fast paced blaster/shooting game without being guns and war. Splatoon 2 shows well on the small Nintendo Switch system, and even better connected to a larger TV.

I don’t like shooters I was a call off duty elite, forming and leading one of the most prolific cod clans BOND, thre original NYC clan, but I stopped with all the horrible next gen crap and gave my ps4to my wife and got a switch I miss playing every now and then, so I wanted a shooter, and Nintendo actually made an amazing game here. It’s as good as cod without crazy violence ...you have clans, perks, boosters, uav, secondaries, tactical Also, it’d very very active with multiplayer online and constantly updated with daily challenges and a lot of aDLC support No doubt, if you’re a FPS fan and have a switch, another must have

Very anticipated game for the switch totally recommend. Easily a must buy for the Switch. Also a console mover if you don't own a Switch yet.
