Good game, my son loves it and plays it as much as he can

Great game to pick up, lot of fun playing with friends, if only they made it easier to join games with friends and play online.

Splatoon 2 is a fun game to play when you have some time to kill, but the game is hampered by Nintendo's numerous stupid and archaic online policies. Want to play with friends? There's no good lobby or party system in-game to handle matchmaking with friends. Also, you have to play Turf War only until you hit level 10 before you can enter League Battle or Ranked. Even in Turf War, if you group up with a friend, it's random whether or not the game places you on the same team. Also, if you want to play with your friends in League Battle or Ranked, you can only enter in groups of 2 or 4. The game's maps are also on a 2 hour rotation for some reason, leading to times where you'll literally play the same map 5, 6x in a row. I understand this was reduced down to 2 hour rotations whereas Splatoon 1 had 1 hour rotations...this still does NOT make sense. Even MK8D had course voting, they couldn't at least implement that into Splat 2? Also, Salmon Run, one of the game's best modes, is not offered consistently and often offered during work hours for many. Why they chose to do this, I have no idea. There's also no good way to look at the schedule for Salmon Run outside of Twitter. The Nintendo app they ask you to use in conjunction with the online play is downright horrendous. I won't go into detail now, but you can research it for yourself. All in all, Splatoon 2 IS a fun game. Tons of weapons, clothing, modes, etc., but Nintendo's continued lack of knowledge on how to handle online games again rears its ugly head.

Splatoon 2 is a continuation of the last - an update for a new console with more to come. The fact that they continuously update and add features to Splatoon ensures that it has longevity, and they have fixed a few battle issues I had with the first one. Overall, it is my second favorite game of the year, behind Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

This is a fun game and is an improvement from the first game. It still needs more but is a fun game with lots of replay value.
