Bought this game for my son. He watched every gamer show about this game so therefore it was evident to get him the game. As for now he doesn’t know we bought it but I can’t wait for the surprise look on his face....

Splatoon 2 is definitely an improvement over the first version on the Wii U. The controls are tight and precise, it's super fun to play through alone or with friends.

Breath of the wild for the switch is hands down number one but this game is a very close runner up. In the multiplayer category this game will consume you for hours.

When I first bought Splatoon in 2014, I got HOOKED onto the gameplay. It was familiar third-person shooter combined with the concept of shooting everything BUT the other players as the goal. Splatoon 2 feels no different, but in a good way. There's a lot of quality of life features that Splatoon 2 has to make it a sequel. Luckily the online worked perfectly fine on launch. It feels like the first game but with upgrades! I haven't played too much of the single player because the multiplayer is too addicting! But I'm enjoying everything so far. My criticisms would be matchmaking and voice chat. You can't create a lobby and search for games with friends to level up, which is a major bummer since I REALLY wanted to do that. Also the way you do voice chat in the game is ACTUALLY horrendous. Just use Discord on your phone or laptop or something. Trust me, it's much cheaper and saves you a LOT of stupid wiring.

Great gift grandsons ask for this and they told me all about how to play it. They are going to be so happy Christmas Day

Absolutely fantastic game. Enjoyable to play online and with friends! If you're a fan of casual gaming or even more competitive gaming you will have an absolute ball.

My 8 year old loves this game. She figured it out very quickly. Even I can play it although I'm not as good as she is. Nice, non-violent, child-appropriate game.

This is a pretty good take on the FPS genre where not only do you spray other players but you have to manage your territory as well. Tons of replay value.

The first Splatoon game for the WiiU left some large, ultra-fresh shoes to fill. Thankfully for fans and newcomers alike, Splatoon 2 delivers upon that original experience and then some. Take on the role of an Inkling (squid kid) and solve the platforming-based puzzles of single-player mode, take the action online for some colorful objective-oriented multiplayer, or team up with four other squids to work for the mysterious GrizzCO, collecting mutated salmon eggs in a nautical twist on classic Horde Mode. No matter your choice, kids and adults will all find something to enjoy. Two tentacles WAY up!

The first Splatoon was a breath of fresh air for me. It was so different from the other shooters at the time and it was constantly supported with free updates. Splatoon 2 isn't as revolutionary as the first, but it's still got all the good things from the first.

While the core gameplay remains the same, Splatoon 2 takes everything great about the original and expands upon it. A definite must for any Nintendo Switch library.

If you only buy 1 game for your switch it should be Splatoon. First person shooter without the blood, just paint! Loads of fun and online play is a blast!

If you enjoyed the first Splatoon, you'll love this one. The game has added a few new features, just enough to not wildly change the original formula that worked.

You need an online connection to play this. So many game modes and different ways to style you avatar. No more splatfest but still worth it

My son absolutely loves this game, he spent hours playing it, he absolutely loves the new weapons especially the splatt dualies. It kept him entertained for hours.
