The games are so small, but he loves them. This game was somewhat easy, but he didn't complete as quickly as the other ones.

Disclaimer: I purchased Splatoon 2 as a gift. I have not personally played Splatoon 2 or its precursor, Splatoon. This was purchased as a birthday present for a friend's child. He had previously been playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild near endlessly and this game managed the herculean task of stealing away his attention. It has been 2 weeks now, and Zelda has sat untouched. Having not played this game personally, I cannot give my own opinions, however you can't argue with results!

I never got the chance to play the first Splatoon when it originally released on the Wii U. I knew it was a hit and I couldn't really figure out why just from watching other people play. After picking up Splatoon 2 and hopping online, I quickly realized why so many people love this game. It has an addicting online multiplayer unlike anything I've ever played before. The concept of covering the field in paint is satisfying and addicting. The matches are quick and it is easy to get sucked in for hours.

The biggest improvement is that local matchmaking is inherently built in, as it matches you with low ping people, instead of matchmaking the entire world with Japan. It was always ridiculous to have a single country have a huge ping advantage over everyone else and then almost exclusively match you with only Japanese players. They had 30 ping, I had 400 ping and it was nothing but characters teleporting around the map. Now everyone is on equal grounds now and it makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

This game kept my nephew involved and interested for almost 3 hours. Not sure if that’s a good thing or bad. He loved the game

Amazing multiplayer experience which is continuously updated and supported with new content and annual in game events.

Its a fun game definitely worth the 40 bucks i spent on it.

My kiddo chose this for his bday and loves it. He’s been playing it for about a month now and it’s still his go to game.

This is a great multiplayer and single player 3rd person shooter. The one large issue is the portable is not the best. Moving a whole console around for aiming with motion controls is awkward and impractical.. adversely you can do stick only aiming which the deadzones on the joycons are so bad that it is no use playing that way. The games graphics are great for Switch.. 60FPS in all gameplay moments, 30 FPS in the hub world. There are multiple modes and constant free updates.

Fantastic game, my favorite new game series of the decade, I squid you not. If you're on the fence, go for it, you won't regret it.

I wanted this game for so long and was able to fetch it during Black Friday with great deal. Loving it.

My kid got this game just after Christmas and has been playing it almost every day. He also has Mario Kart and he spends more time playing Splatoon. I couldn't figure out easily how to put it in 2 player mode though.

This is a super competitive child friendly shooter. It will give you many hours of fun with your family for all ages.

My son and his teenage friends all got this game for their Nintendo Switch consoles and they play it together and really enjoy it.
