Not the typical video game. Better than Splatoon 1, New weapons, new characters, and fresh updates.

This is a light hearted third person shooter (no, it's not THE DIVISION). You paint walls. You paint floors. You paint other people until they drown in your paint and are sent back to spawn. It's pretty fun; put Call of Duty 17 away and play this instead

Splatoon 2 is a third person, kid friendly shooter. It's very enjoyable, mostly online or with friends. The single player is a bit lackluster, but the online mode is a lot of fun.

Fun game with great price! Way better than the first version

Absolutely fantastic game it's bright colorful and very well done turf wars painting the floor is absolutely addicting but it can get a little stale as there is only 8 maps right now with more to come and that all wouldn't be to bad if the map rotation wasn't a thing. How it works is every 2 hours the maps change and you can only play the same 2 maps for that 2 hour block and almost always ends with playing the same map over and over. There really isn't a good way to do voice chat with this game which I don't mind as much as some do but I fell like you'd either be talking to a lot of minors or a lot of cussing so it's probably for the best.

The game is great and fun; however, Nintendo’s terrible online network that makes it nearly impossible to consistently play with friends seriously limits the game’s potential.

If you played Splatoon 1 then you know you need this. If you missed the first this a great place to start. Splatoon is different from most other shooters in that kills aren't the focus. the goal is to pain as much ground as possible. In addition to the multiplayer there a 30 stage single player mode and 4 player co-op horde mode. This mode can only be played online at certain times of the week or locally with 4 Switches whenever.
