This seems to be a very entertaining game. I haven’t master all of the options yet because that is the way all my games have been by Nintendo. My generation needs more instructions. Otherwise I have enjoyed playing solo. I haven’t tried multiplayer game yet.

You don't need to be very good at shooters to even enjoy this game. All you have to focus on is painting away if you want to and you'll have a blast! I could lose 15 matches online in a row and I'll still be having a blast. Parents, no need to worry about your kids talking to strangers online either, it's not required. This game is worth every penny!!!

I bought this game on launch because I had heard it was one of the better shooters to be released recently. I like it because it's not first-person. You get to see your character on the screen. The basic idea of this game is that you have to use shoot or throw paint at your enemies to win. But there's modes that add different challenges. For example, in Turf War, two teams of four have to battle it out to try to cover the stage in as much paint as possible. The team who covers more of the stage wins. This is the mode I play most. There's also Ranked Battles, in which two teams have to compete to control a moving platform for as long as possible. These are the only two I've played so far but I've had a blast! I just wish there was a way to communicate I wth other players online to strategize. Another near feature is that there are lots of different weapons for you to experiment with. I stick to a paint roller because it usually downs enemies in one hit, but it's very short range. If that's not your style, you can snipe with a paint gun or throw buckets of paint at enemies. The many weapons ensure you'll be playing this game for a long time. Another cool thing is that you don't have to pay for online yet! No better time to pick this up than now!

Splatoon is back and better than ever. We pre-ordered this game and it is a blast! The salmon run is a super fun mode where you fight waves of different inklings in order to gain points to be used used on fresh gear. The single player mode has mission statuses in order to follow a story and find out what happened to Callie. Overall a great buy! Stay Fresh!

This game is incredibly fun. Instead of the stereotypical violent shooter, you are actually shooting paint. The way the game is set up makes it different from other shooters like Call of Duty, while still having similar mechanics as to not alienate that player base. My biggest gripe with the game has to do with the Switch system itself. Voice chat would have improved this game tremendously, but the Switch system itself isn't able to voice chat natively, relegating it to an app for your phone (which doesn't work well anyway).

There is a reason this game is outselling what I consider one of the best games ever, Zelda, Breath of the Wild. This game has a fun factor off the charts and is easy to play online. All levels of players can have fun with this and I would not be surprised if we start seeing Splatoon tournaments springing up at different venues. A must have Nintendo game!

Splatoon 2 is one of the best games on the Nintendo Switch. I honestly think it is the best multiplayer game on the Nintendo Switch! You play as squids who compete to ink an entire map or compete in more varieties of "ink matches" against other squids! It is family friendly and very competitive for all ages! It's a must have for all Switch owners!

Now this game is just plain fun. i never got a chance to play the first one but it always looked like a blast so I bought the sequel on a whim! Glad I did. It has a few downfalls, such as the a lack of chat features, but this is just one of nintendo's quirks and doesn't affect the gameplay negatively for me. Either way, game is fun, safe for kids! Enjoy

They added more guns and and costumes the rank mode is very fun.

This game is one of the first must have titles on Switch - I never got around to owning the first Splatoon but decided to buy this because it looked like so much fun - and it turned out to be a ton of fun. I particularly like the new Salmon Run mode which lets you partner with three other players online to fend against wave after wave of enemies. A+!

Before purchasing Splatoon 2, life was normal. But soon after, I got diagnosed as an inkling and I'm coping with the harsh reality. "You're a kid. You're a squid." My doctor told me this in as calm a voice as possible, but it didn't minimize the impact any less. Soon, I learned it wasn't too bad. Salmon Run is pretty fun. 7.8/10 Too much water.

When I first heard of the game I thought it looked silly but it had great reviews. I thought to myself "how much fun can spraying paint possibly be"? It turns it that it is incredibly fun. The game has an incredible amount of weapons, clothing and upgrades for both. Do yourself a favor, go and buy this game.....and start shooting paint everywhere!

If you have never played platoon on the Wii U, be sure and pick up platoon 2 as it is one of the funnest games Nintendo has released in a while. It is a like a friendly version of call of duty but with a whole to perspective. online battles are about covering the floors with paint and whoever paints the most at the end wins. Don't sleep on this one.

Best shooting game for Switch! Fun + simplicity = awesome game

I played this game for over 300 hours before I got bored. It provides a lot of variety for playstyles with all the different types of weapons and modes. In my opinion it still lacks some core features for a modern shooter, like the ability to change guns mid match, but overall its fantastic fun and a lot of bang for your buck.

This is a great game but the back of the box is a little misleading. It says 1 player and also references multiplayer modes. The game cartridge is one player. You can do vs and other multiplayer functions but must have a switch for each additional player. This is still an amazing family game that is fun for all ages and easy to learn.

Splatoon 2 is an amazing sequel to the original title. The single player mode is fun with engaging stages. Multiplayer is a blast to play with varying degrees of difficulty. You can always enjoy casual turf wars or go for more skilled oriented ranked mode! Overall it's an excellent game and I would recommend it to anybody with a Nintendo switch!

Nintendo did a great job with this video game because they kept much of the game the way it was in the previous version. But they’ve added new challenges that makes this way more interesting. I would recommend purchasing this game especially if you have played the first. The graphics are amazing and they give you new arenas to do your battle.

I never played the first game, but decided to participate in a couple of the splatfests before launch. I was not sure if I would get bored as I do not usually play online multiplayer shooters for extended periods of time. Luckily, I have not been able to put the game down! It is an incredibly fresh experience that continues to be a joy to play.

I like that this game allows you to play online multiplayer and feel like you are contributing to your teams work even if you do not "splat" the most enemies. The game has lots of character customization and allows the player a varying experience of online maps and modes. The game does have some flaws in my opinion: 1) Can sometimes be difficult to join friends, 2) No built in game chat, 3) Some game types only available at certain times. Overall, I think it would be hard to dislike this game.
