Splatoon 2 is the first major game for the Switch that relies on online multiplayer. The gameplay is great, matchmaking is fast, and the smartphone app that goes with it shows good promise. There is a single player campaign, and although it is kind of short, gives the game good playability when wifi is not available. My only gripe is no splitscreen multiplayer, but with Nintendo's push for online play, it is understandable.

Splatoon 2 is a fun game. There's more than enough to do in this to get your money's worth. The single player is fun, salmon run is a bunch of fun, and the online games are addicting. I'd recommend this game to anyone that likes shooters. This is a different take, but very rewarding.

My friend and I both bought this game but came to find out we needed to purchase nintendo online to play together. After spending extra money on the online service we found out that there is really no way to start a lobby and play together. We would get into the same game but never on the same team... bummer. Overall the game is fun and plays smooth but honestly it’s a better game when you play alone

I own 10 Switch games, and this is along with Octopath are my favorites by a long shot. I love this game, the bright colors, the tight controls, the whole package is just fun. A 3rd person shooter where you play as kid squids. You have to play it to believe it.

Overall fun game. It gets a little repetitive, but I suppose that's the case with most shooters.

I played Splatoon in Wii U before. I like the concept using ink as a shooting game. Splatoon 2 has the same modes as Splatoon 1 such as single player mode and mutli-player mode battle 4 vs. 4. In addition, it has the co-op mode called salmon run. It is a very good sequel game. :)

This version is a good deal better than the first, especially if you are an online multiplayer.

As someone who extensively played the first Splatoon, I was worried that this sequel wouldn't have enough to feel like a new experience. However, a fantastic single player campaign, an addicting online co-op mode, and frantic online matches have me coming back time and time again.

Great multiplayer, very unique idea for a game. Love the quirky jokes. If you want to get serious with the online mode, get an Ethernet adaptor compatible with the Switch's Dock. I kept getting booted from matches during primetime while using Wi-Fi, the adaptor seems to fix that.

This game is a new take on multiplayer shooters, focusing more on covering territory than going for kills. The single-player campaign is enjoyable—more so than the first game—but it shines in the online multiplayer. Definitely worth buying if you have any interest in online play.

my son likes this game but it seems it starts slow. This game is single player only.

The game expands on the original and explores new features (Via the Switch and available smart phone apps.) and options as well a whole new game mode. And, of course, all while exuding that contagiously cool Splatoon style with a fresh new updated look and feel for the new game.

I really like this game. The single player mode is incredible, and all of the new weapons are awesome. But the game is practically all on-line. This makes sense for multi-player; yet, to purchase anything in any of the stores, you have to be on-line as well. Salmon-Run also seems to be available only at certain times. Some of these may change with future updates, but its still a great game totally worth the money spent.

Overall simple enough for kids but fun enough for adults! Fun for the family!

It's a great sequel to an already great game. Totally safe for kids and fun for people older like me. Gameplay is simple.......color color color. Single player game can get a bit boring but the bosses are fun and challenging to fight. Then again, it's all about the multiplayer.
