Best game! My wife and I have so much fun with this game!

I played the the first game but didn't really enjoy it. The sequel is great though and I highly recommend it!

Just as fun as the original. Its already a bit old, been out awhile, but still fun.

The reason that this game is not 5-stars is due to the lack of 2-player support on the a single console. This totally sucks! For 2 people to play each other in the same house, you need to have 2 Nintendo Switch consoles, 2 copies of Splatoon 2, and 2 TVs. This is ridiculous! What happens when you just want to play a round or 2 with your family or friends on the same TV? With Splatoon 2, you can't. Bummer! Otherwise, the game's OK.

Picked up for a friend and he’s enjoying it! Picks up right where it left off from the first game.

My kid loves this game. I think if he knew what the real thing was he would play it outside too

Splatoon 2 is the Switch's best multiplayer game and a solid addition to the already sprawling list of games for it's new home/hybrid console. Some of you may see my score and wonder why 2 stars? I will explain shortly. Splatoon 2 is a solid game both in handheld and in docked mode. I prefer playing it in docked mode with a pro controller as I believe it is the superior way to play it. What drags the game down is Nintendo's lack of coherent game design for a primarily multiplayer game. No custom loadouts, actually that is incorrect. There are custom loadouts but you need to purchase Splatoon 2 amiibos to make use of them which is a nickel and dime scheme by Nintendo through and through. One of the funnest game modes called Salmon Run (thinks Gears horde mode) is very enjoyable but it isn't always available. It's only available at select times during the week. Why Nintendo decided to do this I have no idea. It's very disappointing because the core gameplay loop is very good and the core concept is novel for multiplayer shooters. In a world in which you have to "kill" your opponent Splatoon 2 focuses on literally shooting a paintgun to cover an area. Which ever team covers the most land mass wins. But the design decisions made by Nintendo are archaic and not of 2017.

Really fun 3rd person shooter with great mechanics and gameplay. The game is held back by the limitations of the online abilities of the Switch. The "Horde" "Tower Defense" mode called Salmon Run is a really fun mode, but without being able to communicate with your paired teammates can get frustrating with no communication. The matchmaking heavily favors some weapons that can only be unlocked once reaching a certain level, which can get really aggravating when you keep being killed by a specific over powered weapon that you have no access to.

My son and I love this game! We have had my nephew over and he loves it just as much splatoon is awesome!

Purchased for my child...... don't really know how the game system works, but he seems to be enjoying it.
