Didn't play the first one, so totally new to me. incredible gameplay, almost flawless in fact. no loadouts and having to leave the lobby to change weapons (unless you are on a team during a splatfest) is annoying, but something Nintendo might get around to changing. But the moment you actually get into a game it is incredibly enjoyable. I have spent 60+ hours in the game, and have yet to actually try salmon run (though I almost did with three of my friends) and haven't finished the campaign either, it is simply to much fun playing the normal mode, called "Turf War". my experience is pretty different from most peoples I assume though, because I have three friends to play with so we meet up and play, which lets us actually communicate with each other.

So happy Nintendo came out with this new IP, Splatoon is becoming one of their best games. It runs perfect on Switch, and its an extremely fun to play. I recommend it to anyone who owns the console to buy this game.

Good Switch 3rd-person shooter. Lacking the Wow-factor of the first game, but it still stays fresh. I can't recommend for single-player only. Main focus is multiplayer. Unique gameplay not seen in other shooters.

This is my first splatoon game and so far I love it! At first I was afraid that it was only online as I couldn't find the story mode of it. But when I did, I was even more excited to play. Online is a blast as well.

Have you ever wondered what it'd be like to be a paint-soaked squid? Well, in Nintendo's Splatoon 2 you are just that. This game is both fun and unique, and the switch's joy cons make it a real pleasure to play.

Splatoon 2 is quite the addictive experience in that the gameplay is fairly simple, yet entirely immersive. The multiplayer sessions are quick and exciting. It's very easy to jump in to almost any online mode and connect with friends through the Switch. (The smartphone chat app, however, leaves me wanting something a bit more robust. I hope Nintendo responds to player feedback to better integrate it seamlessly down the road.) The various matches in this game are reminiscent of a real-world paintball war, but without the physical bruising, of course. The character and level designs are both artful and quirky, as they should be given the unique premise. I have to say, as someone who never played the first iteration, I'm really enjoying this.

I honestly don't know what to say about this game other than the fact it's very addicting. It sucks how you have to have an online membership to use most of the perks but it's definitely worth it.

I absolutely adore what this game is about and what it has to offer. The game's world and appearance is very colorful and rich in contrast, it attracts the eyes of all audiences. The single player mode offers a solid and satisfying experience that captures interests in the game's lore and story. Where this game really shines though is in its multiplayer. With a large variety of weapons, selection of maps and multiplayer modes, the multiplayer experience for an individual can be a fun and challenging experience. The added feature of an online co-op multiplayer mode is a wonderful addition to the game and a pleasant surprise that I didn't see coming with the game. This game and what it has to offer is a must for any Nintendo Switch console owner.

This game is absolutely outstanding and it is unlike any other shooter we have today. it is open to all ages and you will find yourself emerged into the game. it is a ton of fun. I highly recommend it to any gamer.

A most excellent 2nd installation of the Splatoon series, this game will keep you on your toes whether you're battling your friend sitting next to you or somebody on the other side of the world! New features galore!

Had a pretty good idea it was going to be good given the review but had no idea what so ever it was gonna be this darn fun for the whole family. Everyone from my 46 year ole butt to my youngest at 6 loves this game

It's hard to find full lobbies, but still manageable if you're patient. I'd say to get it if you're mainly looking to experience the story mode and the octo expansion.

Great game for all ages. My daughter never really likes video games til she tried this one. The design and music are still the best. Still fresh from the banal mainstream shooting game like Call of Duty and others.

THE GAME IS REALLY FUN TO PLAY. IT HAS ONLINE BATTLES TO COMPETE WITH FRIENDS AS WELL AS A STORY MODE TO KEEP GAMERS ON THEIR TOES. HOURS UPON HOURS OF FUN. HIGHLY RECOMENDED FOR THE NINTENDO SWITCH.

Another great hit for Nintendo's newest console comes in the form of a sequel to there popular title Splatoon just as good as the first with even more customization options. Side note though chat feature does suck

Splatoon 2 is nintendo's spin on a competitive shooter. It's a game with good old nintendo style charm . Bright colors and cutesy characters are all around. There is some hidden dark themes in this game but they are meant to go over the average person's head. This game is very much fun an addicting as there is a cooperative online 4 player mode and a 4 vs 4 player online competitive mode to complement that single player story mode. The game also features frequent updates and monthly events that gives players ingame prizes to participate or win. There is a lot of customization for your created character from the clothes to even the type and color of your chosen splat weapon. Overall Splatoon 2 is a must have for Nintendo Switch owners

Splatoon 2 is even better then the first game! It's well worth the purchase if you were a fan of the first Splatoon or looking to get into it for the first time if you are a fan of any type of game in this genre.

This is a fun game that you can play casually or competitively. There is so much to unlock along the way, and the battles are so much fun! Splatfests are probably the main attraction for me. So much energy! 9/10!

I never got to play the first game so I was very excited to finally get to try out this series with this game and I can say for sure that it does not disappoint. I've been having plenty of fun playing this.

Nintendo is the king of making great games for the family and Splatoon 2 is no exception. Well balanced and inventive shooter that has been redefined for the Switch and really delivers a well rounded experience.
