I played Splatoon on WII U. It was awesome. Even when Switch came out, there was a vibrant community. Same goes for Splatoon 2. The online gameplay is awesome, especially if you have young ones. They can shoot at each other, but there's no blood or anything like that, they're just shooting their ink all over the place to try and win! The online game play does have an occasional hiccup, but for the most part, I'd say 98% of the time, it works perfectly fine! The one player is ok, but it's the multiplayer online that truly shines, just like the first one. This is a must have for any first person shooter. Buy it!

Best online multiplayer game ever on the switch. Nintendo's take on fps (first person shooter) created another awesome IP. Great game for all ages. Dont have to worry about violence in a shooting game since theres none. Althought its cartoonish its not a kids game. Best example of dont judge a book by its cover in this case dont judge the game by its looks. Competitive, Co-Op, Single player campaign. Everything is there plus an even better single player dlc that unlocks octolings as player characters. No other game can you be the freshest inkling/octoling.

It's a different take on the shooter genre, but just as competitive at times. It's fun and kid friendly, for those opposed to exposing young ones to blood and death.

I highly recommend this game for online fun with friends! The single-player mode is decent, but the multiplayer aspect is what this game is all about!

Game is fun, if you like the first one you will like this. Sadly Nintendo's dumb online practices prevents the game from being 5 stars. Playing online with friends is a hassle, and the coop mode (which is an amazing addition) is only available for certain times of the day.

I have played a small bit of the single player and it is moderately fun, though I wish there was split-screen multiplayer, but unfortunately that is a thing of the past with most new games. The online play is fun, though you can't always be on the same team as your friends.

This is a really fun game. It helps to have the online account for the Nintendo Switch so then you can play 4 on 4 with people all around the world.

I really like how Nintendo has changed the FPS genre to be colorful. This is fun to play just as the first one is. Did not give this five stars because it would have been nice to have a two person split screen option. This game is only multiplayer when connected online.

Splatoon 2 is a brightly colored third person shooter with paint instead of bullets. There's no online chat (or rather it's so convoluted that no one uses it) so the game is completely family friendly. Alot of the more powerful abilities have been removed or nerfed from the first Splatoon, so everything is basically even. Higher level players will have access to more guns but the starting gun is one of the more powerful as long as you like mid-range fighting. If you own a Switch you should get this game. If nothing else it fills the void from the lack of mainstream shooters on the Switch like Overwatch or CoD.

Fun game. Takes some getting used to but after all most games are that way. It’s really a blast.

I love this game, and having not played the first iteration, I was not sure what to expect. However, I have been loving this game and all its game modes! Salmon Run FTW!

I played the first Splatoon on the Wii U, so glad they made a Splatoon 2. The Online modes are great and I love playing Salmon Run, that is a great addition to the game.

I bought this for my son as he had been asking for it for awhile. It turns out it's pretty fun and engaging; I play the game more now than my lil' guy does.

One of those multiplayer games that is a lot of fun, especially for the younger ones. However the lack of local multiplayer makes it harder to recommend. Functionally better as an online "singleplayer" game unless you have one or three friends to team up with.

This game is brightly-colored, unique, and most importantly, FUN! Highly recommended for shooter fans who tire of drab color palettes and want something different.

Bought this game for my son. He watched every gamer show about this game so therefore it was evident to get him the game. As for now he doesn’t know we bought it but I can’t wait for the surprise look on his face....

Great gift grandsons ask for this and they told me all about how to play it. They are going to be so happy Christmas Day

This game is great as it offers a wide variety of modes to play. I’ve spent hours playing online with the ranked and league matches. Definitely a recommended game.

This game is very similar to the first Splatoon (on the Wii U), but the first one is a great game and the portability of the sequel (on the Switch) is a welcome update!

Very fun game, especially multiplayer. Would recommend to anyone who likes to play shooting games with their friends.
