It is a game that a seven year old can play. My nephew loves playing it!!!

I have enjoyed my time with the game. Surprisingly the motion controls work well in docked and undocked mode. This is important because motion controls are more accurate than using analog sticks for aiming. I wish you could access all modes all the time. The in-game currency can be a little annoying with how single-player and multi-player unlockable content are walled off.

Even if you haven't played the original, this game is fantastic. Super fun!

For a system with few games at this time, it is certainly a temptation to buy games just for purposes of variety. However, Splatoon won't disappoint.
