This was a gift for our child. I can tell you that he was beyond thrilled and has enjoyed the latest edition of Splatoon. The graphics on the Switch are better than the Wii U and the gameplay seems a bit smoother. The controllers respond well. Overall this is a big hit.

Very similar to the first game, no big changes. Still fun game for kids and adults alike

A great sequel to the original, this game has better controls since you can use motion controls to adjust your aim which was lacking in the Wii U original. A fun game that kids can enjoy as well as older gamers who can get into the more competitive scene.

I had originally played Splatoon 1 on the WiiU but fell out of it because not many friends of mine had WiiUs and those who did didn't have the game. But picking up the sequel has rekindled my love for the game and I'm reminded why I loved the first one.

If you grew up in the 90s and remember the days of the Sega Dreamcast and enjoyed those off the wall, fun games, then Splatoon 2 will be a great addition to your library. It's a great new take on a the tired shooter genre and with cool customization of characters.

I'm a big fan of the first game, and so are my kiddos. We picked this game up when it was released and my kids are much better than me and enjoy playing this game. Highly recommend to add this title to your Switch library, even if you own the first one on the Wii U.

Salmon Run is the best mode. I like how you can get new guns and gear when you level up.

This is a fun game for all ages and I also can play it online with friends. Love it!

I really love splatoon and this one is a lot better than the first but im still let down by the online matchmaking and the way it is set up. Not a fan of having to leave the lobby to switch weapons or not being able to easily match up with a friend. Usually have to just hope we end up on the same team. Otherwise I love the story portion of the game and all the weapons, clothes and maps.

My son enjoys playing this game. It is easy to learn and holds his interest.

Splatoon 2 builds upon the heart of the original Wii U surprise hit. The core gameplay of Splatoon has only been made better. As a parent, I appreciate the fact that the game is still fun and engaging, but safe for my 6-year-old. The game plays well both hand-held and docked mode. The only reason I am docking a star is due to the lack of local split-screen multiplayer. It's quite the unfortunate omission.

tons of fun whether you play it single player or online. It has alot of replay-ability.

The multiplayer is so fun against a lot of people! Just splattering ink all over the place and beating the other team. Story mode is pretty okay but the DLC(costs extra $20) is pretty awesome. New [slight] character designs, new story mode, new costumes.

I passed on the first Splatoon knowing that a better version would come along. And boy was it worth it. The single player is sooo much better than Splatoon 1 (you have different weapons unlike the first game). And online is quite fun also. Salmon Run (the co op mode) is fantastic. The downsides are not being able to switch weapons in-between rounds. And so far there are only three maps for Salmon Run.

I played this game for hours!! The campaign is good and online is fun to play as well!

This game is fun which I enjoyed playing a lot. I would recommend this game.

I was a bit hesitant to pick this up since I had played the demo and found it nearly identical to Splatoon on Wii U. However, once I played this for awhile I began to appreciate the improvements, including improved matchmaking and more varied and interesting single player campaign. Also the new Salmon Run mode is fun when it's open. Hopefully Nintendo will make this a fulltime feature in a future patch.

I'm terrible at first person shooters but starved for games on my switch so I thought I would give this a try. It is actually a lot of fun to play. Only thing I don't like is it comes default set to using the motion controls (aka moving your switch around to face different directions). When I switched it to the joysticks, the game played way better and more to what I would expect. I highly recommend it.

Splatoon 2 improved greatly on Splatoon 1 The single player is nice to play on the go but the game really shines in the returning competitive multiplayer modes as well as the new co-operative horde mode. If you have a switch and you're on the fence. Buy this game.
